Privacy Policy

The short version: most of what you do in Lucide stays on your own device. This page is the longer version — what we store, where it lives, and the few third parties involved.
What's stored on your device
Your tabs, bookmarks, settings, theme, AI conversations, and similar app data are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device — not on our servers. We don't use tracking cookies, and this data never leaves your browser on its own. Clearing your browser's site data (or the "Clear data" button in settings) removes it completely.
Accounts and sync
If you create a Lucide account, we store your email address and a hash of your password — never the password itself. Bookmarks, settings, theme, and proxied-site login cookies then sync to our servers as one bundle tied to your account so they follow you across devices and links; you sign back in with your email and password to pull them down. Proxied-site cookies are session secrets for sites you visit through the proxy — treat your Lucide password carefully. The only first-party cookies we set are the sign-in session cookies that keep you logged into Lucide.
Web routing
When you browse through Lucide, your requests pass through our servers to reach the sites you ask for — that's how the service works. We don't sell or build profiles out of your browsing. Like any server, ours keep short-lived technical logs (addresses, timestamps) used to run the service, stop abuse, and enforce rate limits.
AI features
Messages you send to the AI are relayed through our servers to the third-party AI providers that generate the answers. To keep free-tier usage fair we meter it with a device fingerprint and IP address; Plus subscribers get higher limits. Your AI conversations themselves are stored in your browser's local storage, as above.
Advertising (free tier)
The free version of Lucide loads scripts from third-party advertising networks. Those networks run their own code on the page and may set their own cookies, collect device and usage information, and measure ad performance under their own privacy policies — we don't control what they collect. Lucide Plus removes advertising scripts entirely.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand overall usage (pages loaded, approximate region, device type). That's aggregate traffic measurement, not per-person tracking, and it's covered by Google's own privacy policy.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly — we never see or store them. What we receive is your subscription status and the email you used at checkout, which is how your Plus access gets attached to your account.
Sign-in and verification codes are sent through Resend, an email delivery service. Your email address is used for account access and essential account messages, nothing else — no marketing lists.
Chat
If you use the chat service, your chat username, messages, and uploaded images are stored on the chat server so they can be delivered and shown to other users. Don't share anything there you wouldn't want stored.
Deleting your data
Local data: clear it in settings or from your browser. Account data: email support@lucideon.top from your account address and we'll delete the account and its synced data.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. The current version always lives at this address.
