# Brand logos

Artwork dropped in here is picked up automatically by the gateways and
integrations browsers. No code change and no catalogue entry is needed.

## Where files go

```
assets/logos/gateways/<slug>.svg        payment providers
assets/logos/integrations/<slug>.svg    host plugins
```

`.svg` is preferred, then `.png`, `.webp`, `.jpg`. A file here overrides the logo
package in `vendor/wpayme/wp-pay-logos`, so replacing an out-of-date brand mark
is a matter of overwriting one file.

## Slugs

**Gateways** use the provider key shown on the card's `data-key` attribute, which
is the gateway id with its variant suffix removed: `stripe`, `paypal`,
`razorpay`, `mercado-pago`, `my-fatoorah`.

**Integrations** use the integration name from its class, hyphenated and
lowercased: `Wpayme\WordPress\Pay\Extensions\FluentForms\Extension` becomes
`fluent-forms.svg`. The eleven mapped in `packages/wpayme/integration-catalog.php`
keep the names listed there.

To see the slug a card is looking for, open the browser screen and read
`data-key` on the tile.

## Sizing

Square, at least 128×128, with the mark centred and a little padding. The tile
renders it at 40×40 on a light and a dark surface, so artwork that relies on a
white background needs its own.

## Before adding anything

These are other companies' trademarks. Take them from the owner's own brand or
press kit and follow the terms published with it - most payment providers and
plugin vendors allow their mark to be used to identify their service, and many
require the mark to be unmodified. Do not crop, recolour or redraw a logo to
make it fit; adjust the padding around it instead.

Anything without artwork falls back to a tinted initial, which is a deliberate
part of the design, not a gap to be filled at any cost.
