== Description ==

WP VisitorFlow provides you with detailed information about the visitors on your website. With WP VisitorFlow you can see at a glance from which external websites your visitors are coming from and how they interact with your WordPress website.

WP VisitorFlow not only tracks the flow of visitors on your WordPress website, it  makes the flow visible in your website's admin panel. Detailed but still clear diagrams provide you with the full information about your visitor flow at any time. See how your visitors use your website today and in the past. Learn how changes in your website's structure or new posts and pages influence the visitor flow. Use WP VisitorFlow to get feedback on your publishing actions and integrate it in your search engine optimization process.

WP VisitorFlow is being developed with the focus on webpage performance, usability and data privacy.

Although tremendous amounts of data can arise from the flow on highly frequented websites, the plugin is optimized for minimized data storage and a minimum database load. All data is stored in your  WordPress database only, no third party tool or service is necessary. Last but not least, the software is being developed to fulfill strict data privacy regulations.

== Installation ==

To manually install this plugin, please follow the instructions below.

1. Upload the `wp-visitorflow` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory.
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
3. Go to the 'VisitorFlow->Settings' under 'Admin' panel.
4. Configure the plugin and start enjoying it.

== Frequently Asked Questions == 

= No visitor data is collected =
If no data is collected although you tested the functionality by visiting your own website, please check the following:
* Are you logged in as administrator? Are page views from administrators excluded from data collection? This is the default setting, which can be found under VisitorFlow->Settings->Storing.
* Have you visited admin pages only and are admin pages excluded from data collection? This is the default setting, which can be found under VisitorFlow->Settings->Storing.
* Is data recording in general activated? Please check "Visitor Flow Recording" under VisitorFlow->Settings->General
* Does your web browser submit a HTTP user agent string and are unknown user agents excluded from data collection? Please check the "Exclude empty UA strings" settings under VisitorFlow->Settings->Storing.
