This plugin is pretty simple. Though for a PHP4 driven site, currently only FTP archiving is available. It is highly recommended that to get the most out of this plugin & to enable the best data protection; you use an FTP account that is truly remote, meaning a separate domain name (and more importantly, a separate a IP address).

The files that get generated for each archive are:

  1. wpTimeMachine-content-files
  2. wpTimeMachine-data-files.sql
  3. wpTimeMachine-htaccess.txt 1
  4. wpTimeMachine-Instructions.txt 2
  5. wpTimeMachine-RestorationScript.sh 3
1: if you're not using .htaccess then no, it won't be created
2: if you're ever recovering from a catastrophic WordPress failure, this file will help
3: this file is still under development & should be used with caution
It's a good idea to store the following two items on your own, (in the same place as the files above):
Your copy of WordPress:
Or, read about how to use Subversion for your WordPress implementation.
Your copy of wp-config.php For security purposes this file is not backed up!
