Standard IP65 gaskets will not survive repeated 80 °C steam wash-down, and fixtures typically begin failing within 18 months — well inside the warranty period, but with the failure attributed to misapplication rather than defect, leaving the buyer uncovered.</p><h4>The Cost Difference Is Smaller Than You Think</h4><p>Moving from IP65 to IP66 typically adds 8–12% to fixture cost.
