Reduces the number of spam comments in blogs and WordPress websites that do not require URLs to be admissible within comments.

== Description ==

This is a very simple WordPress plugin, designed to reduce the number of spam comments in blogs and WordPress websites that do not require URLs to be admissible within comments.

The plugin works in two ways:

* Removes the website field from the comment form.
* Prevents the posting of comments that contain clickable URL links.

Because the plugin blocks the submission of comments containing links at source (rather than just add to spam), this plugin prevents spam comments that contain links from ever reaching the database. This serves to prevent drain on system resources caused by spam-induced database requests, whilst also saves the website administrator the task of reviewing and deleting these spam posts.

If submission of a comment containing a hyperlink is attempted, the submitter is presented with an error message explaining that the comment was rejected due to attempted inclusion of a hyperlink.

== Installation ==

To install search for "ZWS Wordpress Anti Spam Comments URL Blocker" in the WordPress Plugins Directory, then click the "Install Now" button. When it's installed, simply activate.

No further configuration is necessary.

After downloading the zip, upload the plugin to the '/wp-content/plugins/' directory, then activate through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
