This is the simplest yet free firewall that can protect your WordPress site by simply toggling few checkboxes in your
admin area.

No coding skills required to enable any of the features, just toggle via the checkboxes and you are ready!

Few of the features that this plugin provides out of the box for free are:

*   Enable additional Password Protection for your /wp-admin/ directory/dashboard  **([Recommended by WordPress.org](http://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress))**
*   Protect any .htaccess and .htpasswd files  **([Recommended by WordPress.org](http://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress))**
*   Block access to any of WordPress internal files, which are not meant to be accessible via URLs

*   Ban users from your site by IP
*   Ban bots from your site
*   Disable ANY commenting in the site (wp-comments-post.php)

*   Does NOT require *any change of permissions* of your files, you can always enter ftp credentials and the plugin will update all required files
