WP Since Last Visit will display a notification on posts and comments if that comment or post is new since the visitor last visited to your site. It does this by adding and targeting specific jQuery selectors to add the notifications to. == Installation == 1. Put the wp-since-last-visit folder into your wp-content/plugins/ directory. 2. Go to the Plugins page in your WordPress Administration area and click 'Activate' for WP Since Last Visit. == Frequently Asked Questions == = Will the notifications show up with caching? = Yes, cookies and displaying of the notifications are all handled with javascript, so it should work fine with cached pages. = Will this plugin work with all themes? = This plugin will only work with themes that are implemented with the post_class and comment_class functions. Using these are considered best practices, so most themes will support this. = Can I change how long the 'new' notifications shows up for a user? = Yes, on the settings page you can change the last visit refresh time. This is the amount of time a user can browse your site before the last visit timer will update and the new notifications will disappear. = Are there any dependencies for this plugin? = Yes, cookies and javascript must be enabled in order for the new notifications to show up for a user. = Can I define where the notifications show up? = If you've added custom selectors to your theme, you can then define them for the plugin on the WP Since Last Visit settings page. = Anything else? = That about does it - enjoy! == Screenshots == 1.
