Unpack the ZIP-archive 2. Copy or upload the folder `simile-timeline` to the `/wp-content/plugins/`directory 3. Activate the plugin through the WordPress plugins page 4. Include `` or the quicktag in your page or post 5. Specify the page ID of the page where you included the Timeline on the Options > SIMILE Timeline page This will output the necessary JavaScript and CSS in the HTML head (Set this value to 0 to include the Timeline script on all pages) 6. Enable categories on the Timeline options page == Custom Fields == You may provide an individual icon or image for a post that shows on the timeline. Add a custom field with the key **timeline_icon** or **timeline_image** in your write interface.
