  1. download and unzip the latest version of wp-filemanager.zip
  2. change the variables in conf/config.inc.php and set your language (bulgarian, danish, dutch, english, finnish, french, german, italian, portugues, russian, czech or spanish) and your home directory (e.g. .../wp-content/)
  3. move the folders conf, docs, icon, incl, lang and the file fm.php to /wp-admin in your WordPress directory
  4. move the file wp-filemanager.php to /wp-content/plugins in your WordPress directory
  5. activate the WP-FileManager plugin in the administration area
  6. FileManager should appear in the navigation of the administration area
