The WP WeMap Plugin allows you to quickly embed a connected map onto your website. Each pinpoint created on the map is a user touchpoint that you can populate with your own content, advertisement integration, and short link redirect URL. When you edit your post, the linked point will also be edited, automatically. == Installation == 1. Upload `Wemap.php` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory 2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress 3. Enter your username and password using the credentials of your Wemap Pro account and click on Log in. If you do not have a Wemap Pro Account, you can ask for your free access at https://getwemap.com/pages/signup.php. == Frequently Asked Questions == = How do I add a map to a post? = To add a map to any given post, go above the text editor, and you will see a button named "Livemap", click it. You will need to choose the Livemap you want to put in your post and press "Select”. The shortcode should appear in the post. You will now see your map appear in your post preview. To create and manage your maps, log into your Wemap Pro account on pro.getwemap.com. = How do I add a post to a map? = To add a post to a map, go below the text editor again, you will see a Metabox named “Add this post to a Livemap”, click on “Create a pinpoint”. An interface will appear with several options. It will display the point on a map below the post taking into account the parameters and information you entered into the different fields: The type of point is either a picture thumbnail on the map (picpoint) or an icon on the map (catpoint); The location can be added via the address or the lat and long fields (respectively latitude and longitude); The status field is by default public, unless you want to keep this point private; The belong to field allows you to add this point to any one of your maps or lists as defined by you in your Wemap Pro account. If you choose “Picpoint”, you must put the URL of the image you selected in the right place. Otherwise if you have chosen "Catpoint", click the icon and select the category of your choice. Enter the address, choose the status of the pinpoint, and insert the pinpoint existing in a list/LiveMap. Now, you can post your article. = What will the title of my point be? = The point created on the map has the title of the corresponding post, it has in its description the content of the post and a short link that redirects to URL of the article. If you edit your post, the linked point will also be edited, automatically.
