WebKite is a service for getting your data online easily and quickly. Backed by the WebKite API, the WebKite for WordPress plugin delivers the filtering and sorting capabilities of sites like Kayak, Amazon, and Yelp. Users can interact with your content to easily find items that are relevant to their needs, a great way to build rapport and trust with your user base.

The WebKite for WordPress plugin uses Google Spreadsheets to give you a simple and familiar experience for data entry. Once you register with a Google account, you’ll have access to our templates to create your filterable lists. Your options include:

* ...with more templates added all the time

Your list is automatically pulled into to our system via the WebKite API.  Storing your data on our secure servers means that you can easily access your information without worrying about server issues, vanishing storage, scaling, or unnecessary bandwidth costs.

== Installation ==

1. From your WordPress admin screen, hover over “Plugins” on the main navigation menu and click “Add New.”
2. In the “Search” box, type WebKite and click “Search Plugins.”
3. Click “Install Now” under WebKite.
4. Click “OK” to confirm installation.
5. On the next page, click the link to “Activate Plugin.” 
6. "WebKite" will now appear on the main navigation menu.

== Screenshots ==

1. Choose the type of list you’d like to build. The WebKite for WordPress plugin currently offers spreadsheet templates for contact lists, business directories, food menus, wine menus, beer menus, and review indexes.

2. Once you select your list type, we’ll share a Google spreadsheet with you.  This spreadsheet includes a header row of details that commonly appear in your selected list type.  You can manually enter your data or copy and paste from another source.

3. Click the sync button to share your data with our database.  Select your filters and sorts as well as choose a layout for your list.  Once you save your list, we’ll generate a shortcode for you to add to your WordPress site.
