# Quick Installation Guide - Taboola Web Push

## 🚀 Get Started in 5 Minutes

### Step 1: Install the Plugin

1. **Upload to WordPress**
   ```
   Copy the entire 'wordpress-plugin-taboola-web-push' folder to:
   /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-plugin-taboola-web-push/
   ```

2. **Activate the Plugin**
   - Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins
   - Find "Taboola Web Push" and click "Activate"

### Step 2: Basic Configuration

1. **Navigate to Settings**
   ```
   WordPress Admin → Taboola Web Push → Settings
   ```

2. **Enable Push Notifications**
   - ✅ Check "Enable web push notifications for your website"
   - Enter your site name (e.g., "My Website")
   - Save settings

### Step 3: Test the Plugin

1. **Visit Your Website**
   - Open your website in a new browser window/incognito mode
   - You should see the Taboola notification prompt after 3 seconds

2. **Subscribe to Notifications**
   - Click "Subscribe" on the prompt
   - Allow notifications when your browser asks

3. **Send a Test Notification**
   - Go to Admin → Taboola Web Push → Send Notification
   - Enter a test title and message
   - Click "Send Test Notification"
   - You should receive the notification in your browser

## 🔧 Important Notes

### For Local Testing
- The plugin works on `localhost` for testing
- VAPID keys are optional for local testing
- All major browsers are supported

### For Production
- **SSL/HTTPS is required** for production use
- Generate proper VAPID keys for production
- Test thoroughly before going live

### Icons and Images
The plugin includes placeholder images. For production:
1. Replace `/assets/images/taboola-icon-192x192.png` with your notification icon
2. Replace `/assets/images/taboola-logo.png` with your logo
3. Use PNG format with transparent background

### Send Notifications When Publishing Posts
1. Create or edit a post
2. In the "Taboola Web Push" meta box, check "Send Push Notification"
3. Customize title and message (optional)
4. Publish the post - notification sends automatically

### View Your Subscribers
