A simple plug-in that enables WordPress sites to display social media icons with configurable links.
== Description ==
This plugin will simplify adding links (social media icons) to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Vimeo, Flickr, Email and RSS feeds from your WordPress powered site.
These days it's essentially a necessity to operate hub pages on the major social networks, both as a way to improve a sites SEO and to communicate with users and customers across a range of mediums. This plugin will help you to display pretty links to your WordPress Blog or Sites Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Vimeo, Flickr, Email and RSS feed pages.
The plugin now allows selection of different icons. If there is an icon set that you would like included in the next release send us a request via the NewsPress website.
== Installation ==
Installation Steps
1. Upload the Social Connect Widget folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP. OR Add the Social Connect Widget Plugin via the WordPress Plugins menu.
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
3. Add the Widget to the desired area in the WordPress Widgets menu and/or activate by placing the shortcode [social-connect] somewhere on your site.
4. Go to Settings > Social Connect Widget to configure the various options.
5. Note that if you don't want a particular icon to be displayed simply make the corresponding text field empty.
6. Rate the plugin and verify that it works at wordpress.org.
Some Formatting Tips
* If you would rather not display one of the icons simply leave the corresponding text area blank on the settings page and it won't be shown.
* The spacing between icons may now be set from the Settings > Social Connect Widget page directly.
