Simple Post Preview is a multi-instance widget that displays (a part of) the latest post from a category.

== Description ==

This widget lets you display the latest post from a category. It's as simple as activating the plugin, adding it to a widget area and setting it up.

== Installation ==

1. Upload `simple_post_preview.php` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
3. Use the plugin by placing it in any defined widget area
4. Setup Simple Post Preview so that is displays what you want

There aren't many ways to set it up, but here is a walkthrough
Header: You can choose to write a header. If you don't, the title of the post will be used as the header instead
Select Category: Select one of your categories from which you want to display the latest post
Length of preview: The number of characters from the post shown in the preview 
Link name: The name of the link that takes you to the full post
Link to: You can choose to link to either the post or the category
