== Description ==

Remarks gives a useful visual breakdown of the comments that your blog has acquired, and may help you to decide how to focus your blog for even greater comment harvesting. The breakdown that Remarks produces is accessible via the WordPress Admin menu.

Hi, thanks for examining Remarks! First props have to go to the genius behind libchart http://naku.dohcrew.com/libchart/pages/introduction/. I'll be honest, I have made some minor cosmetic changes to his code, to make colours consistent and to remove some things that weren't desired for our purpose. 

Here at Frag1 we currently plan to employ line graphs to show you how the number of comments you've gained has increased overtime. That's still WIP, but we will release it as soon as we can. For now pie charts and bar graphs will have to do.

Intended Future Developments:

1. Different pages for each breakdown by Author or Category.
2. Line charts to show the number of posts over time.
3. A globe showing the location of the majority of your commenters (based on their IP!)


== Installation ==

1. In the "Plugins" section of the WordPress Admin menu, click on "Add New"
2. Enter the phrase "Remarks" into the search bar (we are the first result!)
3. Press "download" and hit yes when the prompt asks you to.
4. After the download, hit "Activate"

= Do I need to have anything installed for the graphs etc to work? =

The PHP drawing package GD is required. Please contact your web administrator for assistance here.

1. This first screenshot shows the list breakdown of the Remarks "Posts" section, as well as where the Remarks link appears in the Admin menu (under 'Comments').

2. The pie chart view of comments by Category shown by Remarks (source is the Frag1.co.uk blog!). The same data is also shown in bar chart, and in list view.

3. This screen shows the entire Comments by Author section of the Remarks output for the frag1.co.uk site. 

4. This screen shows the latest Geolocation of comments section.
