This a plugin for Wordpress that uses the [Notifixio.us](http://www.notifixio.us) API. Notifixious is a simple notification service that allows websites to notify their users when they publish new content, on the channels they like. Currently, we support many IM flavors, as well as Email and Text Messages (US Only)

== Description ==
This plugin registers your blog into the Notifixious list of "sources", and attaches it to your Notifixious account. After this, every time you publish a new article, it will send a notification to the people that are following you.
This plugin is to be used with the [widget](http://notifixio.us/sources/widgets) so that users can directly subscribe to your blog on your blog, without even going to Notifixious!

Why do you want your user to be notified when you publish a new article? 
- They come back to your blog when you publish a new article... so you don't loose them!
- They come back faster : it's actually immediate : they know as soon as you publish the article
- Not all of them know/use a RSS feed (it's actually only a few!), and even if they use a reader, then, they have to start the reader to know that you published a new article
- They get a very slick interface where they can digg, retweet, share on facebook or save your post to Delicious!

== Installation ==
This plugin follows the [standard WordPress installation method](http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Installing_Plugins):
1. Upload the notifixous folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
3. Configure the plugin through the 'Notifixious' section of the 'Options' menu (a few more clicks for months of happiness!)

Don't forget to  [use our widget](http://notifixio.us/sources/widgets) as well to allow your users to subscribe to your blog!
