Plant trees worldwide and show your customers you're helping to tackle the climate crisis. == Description == This WordPress plugin provides you a quick and painless way to introduce carbon offsetting into your WooCommerce store. Netzero plants trees and funds climate projects in the areas that need it most: benefitting the environment, biodiversity and local communities. Become a climate neutral or climate positive business in just five minutes. = Features = * Seamless integration into your WooCommerce checkout. * Choose whether you or your customer pays for the carbon offset. * Our API accurately calculates the carbon emitted for the delivery and prices the carbon offset. * Customise the appearance to suit your theme. * Track your offsets and see how many trees you've planted in our dashboard. * Offsets are only added to your account after successful payment by the customer. For more information, [see our website](https://net-zero.earth). = Coming soon = * Add a badge to your website showing the number of trees you've planted and carbon saved. * Public profile on [our website](https://net-zero.earth) so your customers can see the positive impact you're having on the planet. * Per-product offsetting. Offset the manufacturing or general emissions associated with your product. * Manage recurring offsets for subscriptions. == Installation == This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working. 1. Upload the `netzero-for-woocommerce` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory. 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress. 3. Go to "WooCommerce > Netzero" to configure all settings. == Frequently Asked Questions == = How am I billed for the carbon offsets? = Whether you or your customer pays for the offset itself, you have to set up a subscription on our website and you'll be charged on your chosen billing cycle. Why do we do this? We have payment processing fees and by using a subscription model, we can maximise the climate projects we fund. Otherwise, every transaction will have a 20¢/25p transaction fee on top of the offset itself. This keeps the cost down for you or your customer. = Where does the money go? = This changes all the time, but with our partners we prioritise funding the most efficient and beneficial projects. This could range anywhere between planting mangroves in Madagascar and local planting and conservation. == Screenshots == 1. Settings Page 2. Checkbox for customer payment 3. Checkbox selected 4.
