One of the key features of MWT is the semplicity to integrate the framework with any CMS: MWT can be configured to handle content from a specific CMS and render it in order to produce the mobile version of the CMS-based website.
In the first version released to the public it was important to demonstrate this feature. Integrating the framework with a well known CMS is a good start to spread the word about MWT and it is, at the same time, an interesting benchmark for its first release. We therefore chose to embed MWT in Wordpress, by exploiting Wordpress API, as a WP plugin.
The Wordpress plugin version of Mobile Web Toolkit is available for download at:
http://www.beeweeb.com/mwt/index.php/products/mobile-web-toolkit/mwt-download/
To install the plugin follow this simple steps:
Copy the plugin content to your Wordpress directory:
Assuming that the path to Wordpress root directory is pathToWordpress/ copy all files in mwt/wp-admin/ to pathToWordpress/wp-admin/, then copy the directory mwt/wp-content/plugins/mwt to pathToWordpress/wp-content/plugins/
If something goes wrong take a look at the log, by default the log file is created in the directory: mwt/wp-content/plugins/mwt/data/mwt.log
MWT administration panel is divided into three sections:
