= What is KnowMyRankings? =

The KnowMyRankings WordPress plugin makes it easy to track your rankings in Google for the keywords that drive you traffic. You can see your current and past rankings right inside your WordPress admin panel.

After installing the plugin, you will be prompted to create a free account to access the KnowMyRankings.com Google rank tracking service. 

The KnowMyRankings WordPress plugin displays your ranking data in your WordPress admin panel. Your rankings are tracked by KnowMyRankings.com's servers, not your own WordPress website.

This plugin simply displays data from your KnowMyRankings.com account inside WordPress. You can also login to your account at KnowMyRankings.com to check your ranking/position data, add, update, and remove keywords, and access features not available through the WordPress plugin.

* Upload the plugin from the Plugins page in WordPress
* Unzip google-rank-tracker.zip and upload the contents to /wp-content/plugins/, and then activate the plugin from the Plugins page in WordPress

**Does my site ever hit Google’s servers?**
No, the ranking data is pulled from KnowMyRankings.com’s API. KnowMyRankings.com is a Google rank tracking service, you can sign up for an account there to use the plugin.

**What if I already have an account on KnowMyRankings.com?**
You can use your existing KnowMyRankings.com account by entering the login details for it when installing the plugin, or after you install by visiting the KnowMyRankings -> Settings page.
