This plugin allows you to create multiple footer widget's from a dropdown menu within Genesis Theme Settings. Plugin based on code from Genesis Developer, http://genesisdeveloper.me/controlling-footer-widget-columns-from-theme-settings-page-in-genesis/ .

Creating footer widgets can be a nuisance from project to project. Sometimes the original design calls for 4 footer widgets and by default Genesis only has the proper code for 3 footer widgets.

Genesis Simple Footer Widgets allows you to easily go from no footer widgets to 6 footer widgets without having to worry about adding additional CSS or registering new widget areas.  

== Installation ==

= From your WordPress dashboard =

1. Visit 'Plugins > Add New'
2. Search for 'Genesis Simple Footer Widgets'
3. Activate Genesis Simple Footer Widgets from your Plugins page.


= FTP Installation =

1. Upload `genesis-simple-footer-widgets` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2. DO NOT change the name of the genesis-simple-hooks folder
3. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress

= How To Use =

1. Navigate to the `Genesis > Theme Settings` menu
2. Locate the Footer Widgets dropdown menu and choose how many widgets you want.
3. Go to Appearance > Widgets and add content to your new widget areas.
