Since the internet is a continuously changing landscape, it stands to reason that eventually, your articles, blog posts, and other forms of content become outdated. Old, outdated content is called _stale_, and, like stale bread, stale content makes your website less appetizing to both users and search engines respectively. Effectively managing your content can not only increase traffic on your website, but save you a lot of time too. Everyone should be able to do this, because it’s of importance to your SEO, customer experience and your time efficiency. # How do you keep your content up-to-date? Initially by going through the posts and pages on your website and deriving what content needs to be updated. This includes stale content _older than_ 6 months and content that _will become_ stale. Subsequently, you will have to edit all these pages and post. # How can the Freshing make your life easier? Freshing provides you with an overview of your content. This overview categorizes your content into either: **Fresh** (up to date), **Degrading** (last updated between 3 to 6 months) or **Stale** (last updated over 6 months ago). Each posts has individual _freshness scores_ to help you prioritize, and guide you on how much of an article’s content you need to change. Based on these analytics you can start improving your content. Freshing is continuously developing; we are building new features that can not only give you an insight into your website’s freshness, but can also help you to efficiently keep your content up-to-date by analyzing your content and suggesting changes that will make your life easier. This way, your website attracts users and search engines. Using your feedback we continuously develop and adjust our features. Therefore, please leave feedback after using the plugin. == Frequently Asked Questions == = How does the plugin calculate freshness scores? = At first, the freshness scores will be based on when content was last updated. For instance, if a post was last updated one month ago, it gets a freshness score of 90%. A post that was last updated 4 months ago will get a score of 40%. Then, you can increase your scores by changing or adding content for a post/page. The more content you change or add, the higher your score gets. = What feature will be released next? = Glad you asked ;). Currently, we are planning to make features that can: - Suggest modifications for your content to keep it up-to-date and to increase readability. - Suggest replacements of keywords in your content with trending words (e.g. from google trends), to increase the relevancy of your articles. You can contribute to the future of Freshing; we value your feedback highly and take it in much consideration when planning out new features. == Screenshots == 1.
