This plugin prevents you from modifing any element of a specific post type, leaving all the others editable.


== Description ==

This plugin prevents you from modifing any element of a specific post type, leaving all the others editable.

Element Capability Manager creates a system to allow editors (or any other role) to modify pages / post types but it blocks specific individual pages / post types chosen by the admin.
For example if you want to allow your editors to modify your pages but you want to lock your homepage, this is the right plugin for you!

The plugin is only available in English and Italian (send me others translations at ecm@synapse-lab.it).
Custom post types and custom user roles are supported.
Compatible with Members plugin.


== Installation ==

From your WordPress dashboard

1. Login into your admin panel
1. Go to 'Plugins > Add New'
1. Search for 'Element Capability Manager'
1. Install 'Element Capability Manager'
1. Activate 'Element Capability Manager'
1. If you want to change the default settings you have to go to the new menu item: 'Element Capability Manager'


From WordPress.org

1. Download 'Element Capability Manager' from http://wordpress.org/plugins/element-capability-manager/
1. Upload the `element-capability-manager` folder to your `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, using your favorite method (ftp, file manager of your hosting etc..)
1. Login into your admin panel
1. Go to 'Plugins'
1. Activate 'Element Capability Manager'
1. If you want to change the default settings you have to go to the new menu item: 'Element Capability Manager'

= Can I also lock a custom post type? =
Yes! All post types including custom post types are compatible.

= Can I also handle custom user roles? =
Yes! All user roles are compatible.

Other than that, probably in the next versions I will add more settings and an overview of what is being locked
