Unlike existing acceleration plugins, Edgemesh is a client side (your visitors browsers) optimization engine that allows customers to effectively cache, load and optimize content across any browser including mobile. Edgemesh runs as a managed service that provides detailed Real User Metrics (visitor performance experiences), detailed visitor network analysis (where users are coming from and their global experience) and realtime security and vulnerability details for your website (3rd party plugins and JavaScript). Edgemesh works with any existing plugin (e.g. WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, Litespeed Cache) or stand alone. Edgemesh requires a monthly subscription available at [edgemesh.com/pricing](https://edgemesh.com/pricing) and includes a Free tier for WordPress customers (with limited features).

== Installation ==

Installing this plugin alone will not do anything until you register your domain on the [Edgemesh Portal](https://portal.edgemesh.com). Once your origin is verified, your site will automatically be Edgemesh enabled.

Here are the quick start installation steps:

1. Create an account on the [Edgemesh Portal](https://portal.edgemesh.com/signup).
2. Register and verify your domain on the [Edgemesh Portal](https://portal.edgemesh.com/signup).
3. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/edgemesh-wordpress-plugin` directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
4. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' screen in WordPress.

Edgemesh's service is automatically updated for minor and patch releases. You will only have to update this plugin on `Major` version releases. The next major version will be `4.0.0`.
