Cred is a payment system for Wordpress that allows you to monetize your content through micropayments or 
subscriptions.

== Description ==

With the growth of Wordpress for content sites beyond simply blogging, monetization of these sites has 
become more and more topical as the newspapers and online journals begin to charge for their content. 
With the Cred plugin for Wordpress you will be able to monetize your site either through micropayments 
or through subscriptions to your content. Any content (as long as it is legal) can be sold through our 
payment method and all you need is to install the plugin, signup as a content provider to receive an 
API key and start earning. You can sell text, audio, video and any file format you might want. All sites 
hooked up through the Cred system use one payment system and currency meaning your potential customers 
will not need to signup to every Wordpress paywall site and rather be able to purchase from multiple 
sites with one account. 

== Installation ==

If you are not installing Cred from the Wordpress repository the instructions are as follows:

1. Download the "Cred.zip" file from https://yourcred.com/plugins/wordpress
2. Upload the Cred folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
3. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
4. If you are not signed up as a content provider go to https://yourcred.com/welcome/provider_signup_form. 
   You will then be emailed details and an API key
5. Enter the API key in the 'Plugins' menu in Wordpress under 'Cred options'. Enter the API key to 
   get started.
