# Managing Your Check-ins

Once you start posting check-ins, you'll want to know how to view and manage them. This guide shows you how to find all your check-ins in one place.

---

## Finding Your Check-ins

### The Check-ins Tab on Your Profile

1. Click on your **profile picture** or name
2. Go to your **Profile** page
3. Look for the **Check-ins** tab (your site admin may have renamed this)
4. Click on it to see all your check-ins

**Note:** If you don't see this tab, your site admin may have disabled it in the settings.

## What You'll See

### Your Check-in History

The Check-ins tab shows:

- **A list of all your check-ins** - Every location you've shared
- **Dates** - When you checked in at each location
- **Activity links** - Links back to your original posts

### Map View

Depending on your site's settings, you may also see:

- **A map with all your check-ins** - See everywhere you've been at a glance
- **Clickable markers** - Click on any marker to see details about that check-in

---

## Viewing a Check-in on the Activity Feed

When you or someone else posts a check-in, it appears in the activity feed with:

1. **The activity text** - What was written in the post
2. **Location name** - Shows as "– at [Location Name]"
3. **A small map** - Preview of the check-in location
4. **Clickable location** - Opens in Google Maps when clicked

## Editing or Removing a Check-in

### Can I edit my check-in location?

Currently, you cannot edit just the location after posting. To change a check-in:

1. Delete the original activity post
2. Create a new post with the correct location

### How to Delete a Check-in

1. Find your activity post with the check-in
2. Look for the **Delete** option (usually appears when you hover over your post)
3. Click **Delete**
4. Confirm the deletion

**Important:** Deleting the activity post removes the check-in completely.

---

## Viewing Others' Check-ins

### On Their Profile

1. Visit another member's profile
2. Click on their **Check-ins** tab (if visible)
3. See where they've checked in

### In the Activity Feed

- Check-ins from people you follow appear in your activity feed
- Look for the location icon or "– at [Location]" text
- Click the location to open it in Google Maps

---

## Privacy Considerations

### What Others Can See

- Your check-ins are visible based on your activity privacy settings
- If your activity is public, anyone can see your check-ins
- Group check-ins are visible to group members

### Tips for Privacy

- Be mindful about sharing your home address
