Twitter OAuth Settings
Twitter now relies on OAuth security to control all third party access. For this theme to access your tweets, you will need to
register it as an application with Twitter.
Fortunately this isn’t difficult to do, just follow the six steps below to get the settings you will need:
- Goto https://apps.twitter.com
- Sign in with your Twitter sign in details
- Click 'Create New App' and fill in the application details: (the name has to be unique so you may want to use your website address for this)
- Tick 'Yes, I Agree' underneath the Developer Agreement and click 'Create your Twitter application
- You will now be presented with your application details. Click 'manage keys and access tokens' next to your Consumer Key (API Key).
- When your Application Settings appeat click the 'Create My Access Token' button. You can now make a note of the follow details:
- Consumer Key
- Consumer Secret
- Access token
- Access token secret
