**When you activate this plugin:**

* Your site domain is registered with our service
* Image requests are routed through our Cloudflare CDN
* Original images are fetched from your server, optimized, and cached
* Aggregated optimization statistics are collected (image counts, bytes saved)
* Subscription status is checked periodically to ensure service availability

== Installation ==

1. Go to Plugins > Add New in your WordPress dashboard
2. Search for "Automatic Image Optimizer & CDN by wpimg.io"
3. Click Install Now, then Activate
4. Go to Settings > Image Optimizer
5. Accept the Terms of Service and click "Enable"

Done — your images are now optimized automatically.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Are my original images modified? =

No. Your original images are never touched. Optimization happens on-the-fly when images are requested. Disable the plugin and everything reverts instantly.

= Do I need to re-upload my images? =

No. The plugin works with your existing images automatically.

= Will this slow down my site? =

Smaller images load faster. The CDN also helps visitors far from your server load images quicker.

= What happens if the service is unavailable? =

The plugin includes automatic fallback. If our CDN is unavailable, images will be served directly from your origin server.

= Does it work with page builders? =

The plugin rewrites image URLs in the final HTML output, so it works with most page builders regardless of how they generate images. If you encounter issues, contact support.

= Why don't I see optimized images when logged in? =

Image optimization is disabled for logged-in administrators to ensure the admin area and page builders work correctly. Log out or use an incognito window to see optimized images.

= What about GIF animations? =

Animated GIFs are preserved. They can be converted to WebP (which supports animation) but not AVIF (which doesn't support animation in all browsers).
