You can download: * Customizer settings for the active theme, including theme mods, theme options, and additional CSS. * Posts, pages, and other public content types, with categories, tags, comments, and featured images. * The media library, limited to JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images. * Navigation menus. Export files are JSON. They can be imported on another site that has this plugin installed. Customizer settings are applied only when the file was exported for the same theme, or for its parent theme. Authors in the file are matched to existing users. Content whose author does not exist is assigned to the user running the import. Choose "Download and import image files" to copy images into the media library. The plugin accepts image addresses that WordPress considers safe, and it checks that the downloaded file is an image before saving it. = Privacy = An export file contains the content you select. That can include post text, comments, author names, and author email addresses. It does not include passwords or user accounts. You are responsible for storing and sharing the file. == Installation == 1. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-demo-import-export` directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen. 3. Open Appearance, then Customize. The Export/Import section is at the bottom of the Customizer. == Frequently Asked Questions == = Can I import a file created by version 0.1? = No. Version 0.1 saved a PHP serialized file. Those files are not imported, because loading them is unsafe. Create a new export with version 1.0.0. = Why were my Customizer settings skipped? = Settings are imported only when the export belongs to the active theme or its parent theme. Content from the file can still be imported. = Which images are imported? = Images are downloaded only when "Download and import image files" is checked. JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP files are accepted. == Screenshots == 1. The Export/Import section in the Customizer. 2. Content filters for posts, pages, custom post types, and media. == Changelog == = 1.0.0 = * Tested with WordPress 7.1. Requires WordPress 6.3 and PHP 7.4. * Save exports as JSON instead of a PHP serialized file. * Verify the export and import requests, and check the export and import capabilities. * Stop writing user accounts or password data into the export file. * Import posts, pages, custom post types, terms, comments, menus, and featured images without the old duplicated filters. * Skip Customizer settings that were exported for a different theme. * Replace deprecated post lookups and follow the WordPress coding standards. = 0.1 = * Initial release. == Upgrade Notice == = 1.0.0 = Export files are now JSON. Files created by version 0.1 cannot be imported. Create a new export after updating.
