Display listings by region and category — perfect for chambers of commerce, tourism sites, and membership organizations. == License == Released under the terms of the GNU General Public License. == Description == Business Listing is a simple, lightweight plugin for displaying a filterable directory of businesses on your WordPress website. Visitors can browse all listings or narrow them down by region and category with a single click with no page reload required. Originally built for a florist website, it's flexible enough for any organization that needs to showcase a collection of businesses, members, posts or something else in a clean, visual format. The businesses are in boxes which show an image, the business name, city and state. While it was designed for businesses we found that it can be used for other things like a portfolio with other details in the city and state fields. = Who Is This For? = * Chambers of commerce and business associations * Tourism and visitor center websites * Local community and neighborhood directories * Regional shopping guides and retail directories * Membership organizations showcasing member businesses * Any website that needs a filterable business or vendor listing = How It Works = Add your businesses through the WordPress admin — each listing gets a name, image, city, state, website link, category, and region. Drop the shortcode anywhere on your site and visitors immediately see a visual grid of listings they can filtered by region and category. Both the region label and category label are fully customizable to fit your organization's terminology. = Features = * Shortcode for displaying listings anywhere on your site * Filterable by region and category with instant click-to-filter buttons * Each listing displays an image, business name, city, state and website link * Fully customizable region and category labels — call them neighborhoods, counties, districts, or anything else * Show or hide region and category filter buttons independently * Listings can be deactivated without deleting them * Clean, responsive layout that works on mobile and desktop = Use Cases = * Chamber of Commerce — Showcase member businesses organized by industry category and geographic region. Let visitors filter to find exactly what they're looking for. * Tourism Websites — Display local restaurants, shops, and attractions with region filters so visitors can find businesses near where they're staying. * Community Directories — Build a neighborhood business guide with category filters for retail, dining, services, and more. * Membership Organizations — Give your members visibility with a professional listing page that's easy to manage from the WordPress dashboard. = Customization = * Button colors can be overridden with CSS.
