# validation-scanner

Collect the project's validation commands.

## Process

All commands are read-only. Run them in order.

### Step 1 — package.json scripts

If `package.json` exists — read the `scripts` section. Find:

- `dev` / `start` / `serve` — start the dev server
- `build` — build the project
- `test` / `test:unit` / `test:e2e` — tests
- `lint` / `lint:fix` — linting
- `format` / `format:check` — formatting
- `typecheck` / `type-check` / `check` — type checking

Determine the package manager from the lock file (npm/yarn/pnpm/bun) to form the commands.

### Step 2 — Makefile

If `Makefile` exists — read it and extract targets:

```bash
grep -E '^[a-zA-Z_-]+:' Makefile 2>/dev/null | head -20
```

Look for targets: `build`, `test`, `lint`, `fmt`/`format`, `run`, `dev`, `check`, `clean`.

### Step 3 — Justfile

If `justfile` or `Justfile` exists — read it and extract recipes:

```bash
grep -E '^[a-zA-Z_-]+:' justfile 2>/dev/null || grep -E '^[a-zA-Z_-]+:' Justfile 2>/dev/null
```

### Step 4 — Other sources

Check additional files:

- `Taskfile.yml` — task runner
- `deno.json` / `deno.jsonc` — Deno tasks
- `Rakefile` — Ruby tasks
- `tox.ini` / `noxfile.py` — Python test runners
- `Cargo.toml` — Rust (cargo build/test/clippy/fmt)
- `go.mod` — Go (go build/test/vet, golangci-lint)

### Step 5 — Compose commands

For each category, compose the full run command. For example:

- `pnpm run test` (not just `test`)
- `make lint` (not just `lint`)
- `cargo clippy` (not just `clippy`)

If a command isn't found — `NOT_FOUND`.

---

## Structured Output

Return the data strictly in this format:

```yaml
DEV: <command to start the dev server | NOT_FOUND>
BUILD: <build command | NOT_FOUND>
TEST: <test command | NOT_FOUND>
LINT: <lint command | NOT_FOUND>
FORMAT: <format command | NOT_FOUND>
TYPECHECK: <type check command | NOT_FOUND>
PACKAGE_MANAGER: <npm | yarn | pnpm | bun | make | cargo | go | NOT_FOUND>
```

## Rules

- Read-only.
- Command error — record it and continue.
- Missing commands — strictly NOT_FOUND.
- Return data. The orchestrator makes decisions.
