> - **`high-contrast` is the map's accessibility route**, not a style. Keep it in `options` unless you have a specific reason to drop it.
> - **Pass the same `value` to `<Map basemap>`** or the buttons will disagree with the tiles.
> - **Configure `mapId` per style where you can.** `grayscale`, `high-contrast` and `night` fall back to a CSS filter over the tile pane, which is an accepted degradation — Cloud Styling is the faithful route.
> - The filter never reaches markers or overlays: inverting a marker's color would break the token contract the rest of the library keeps.
