# Privacy & Telemetry

This notice applies to **wpscli-cn** and **wpscli-intl**.

## Overview

wpscli collects **usage analytics and diagnostics** to improve the product. It does **not** collect document contents. Telemetry failures do not affect conversion or other features.

**Compliance:** Analytics use **WPS self-built** infrastructure on `*.ksord.com`. This is **not** a PRC domestic third-party data warehouse. **`wpscli-intl` does not route data to domestic-China warehouse systems.**

## What we collect

- Device and session identifiers, CLI version, OS and Node.js environment
- Commands run, success or failure, duration, and error summaries
- Input file **size** (not path or content)
- Sanitized command-line arguments (paths and keys are redacted)

## What we do not collect

- Document, image, or PDF **contents**
- File paths, passwords, or **API keys** in plain text

## Where data is sent

## Local storage

- A persistent device ID and telemetry cache under `~/.wpscli-cn/` or `~/.wpscli-intl/` (cleared by `wpscli reset` for that market)

Queued events may be sent later if the network was unavailable.

## Cloud conversion (separate)

Conversion uploads **your files** to WPS cloud for processing. That is separate from usage analytics.

## Your choices

- `wpscli reset` clears the market telemetry cache (not the device ID)
- There is **no opt-out environment variable** in the current release
