# `online_status`

Use before other network methods to verify the configured endpoint, auth mode,
payload versions, limits, and feature support. It sends no repository evidence.

Inputs: optional `timeout_ms` from 1000 to 120000 (default 10000), plus optional
`output_format: "json"` for structured evidence.

Do not infer upload readiness from HTTP reachability alone; inspect the returned
