# Creator Demo

Run the zero-key product-shell demo through the public CLI:

```sh
vclaw studio --goal creator-demo --project my-demo \
  --intent "A 20-second vertical product story" \
  --platform tiktok --duration 20 --source-mode local-media \
  --audio-mode none --execute
```

For the temporary-workspace quickstart, `npm run demo` remains available.

The command builds the project, creates a temporary `creator-demo` workspace, writes a normal project manifest, brief, storyboard, placeholder image, asset manifest, readiness result, cost estimate, and local preview/review/run portal HTML.

It does not call a provider, use the network, render a final MP4, approve review, or mark the project publish-ready. The JSON result and terminal output report `providerCalls: 0`, `networkCalls: 0`, `renderedFinal: false`, and `publishReady: false`.

By default the temporary workspace is kept so the printed `preview.html` path can be opened. Set `VCLAW_DEMO_KEEP=0` to remove it after the run.

Useful quickstart overrides:

```sh
VCLAW_DEMO_ROOT=/tmp/vclaw-demo VCLAW_DEMO_PROJECT=my-demo npm run demo
```

To move past the demo into a real final MP4, use the Creator UI capability panel or `GET /api/capabilities`. It reports the exact missing local tools and environment variables, such as `ffmpeg`, `PEXELS_API_KEY`, configured TTS backends, and provider route credentials.

The Creator UI keeps planning and execution separate. `Run dry plan` uses the
fresh plan digest without spending. `Confirm spend and run` displays the current
estimate and requires a second explicit confirmation; it never auto-approves the
storyboard, and stale project state forces a new preview.
