## Detection Patterns

**Unreachable Code:**

- Code after return/throw/break
- Impossible conditions (always true/false)
- Unused catch blocks

**Unused Declarations:**

- Unexported functions/classes
- Unused parameters
- Dead imports
- Orphaned test files

**Stale Dependencies:**

- Package.json entries not imported
- Unused peer dependencies
- Deprecated packages with no usage

## Analysis Approach

1. Build import/export graph across codebase
2. Identify entry points (main, exports, tests)
3. Trace reachability from entry points
4. Flag unreachable code with confidence level
5. Check git blame for recently touched files (may be WIP)
6. Generate removal plan with dependency order

## Safety Checks

- [ ] No dynamic imports referencing target
- [ ] No reflection/eval usage
- [ ] Not referenced in config files
- [ ] Not part of public API surface
- [ ] Tests still pass after removal
- [ ] Bundle size reduction confirmed
