# tokens-bruecke > Figma plugin + CLI that exports Figma variables and styles as DTCG 2025.10 design tokens JSON. The CLI (`npx tokens-bruecke`) either fetches variables via the Figma REST API (requires a Figma Enterprise plan) or transforms a local snapshot passed with `--input`, and writes tokens to a file or stdout. Set up a config file: `npx tokens-bruecke init` (asks 4 questions; `init -y` writes defaults, and it only prompts when both stdin and stdout are terminals). The export never loads the config on its own: pass it with `-c tokens-bruecke.config.json`. Quick CLI usage: `npx tokens-bruecke --api-key "$FIGMA_TOKEN" --file-key --output tokens.json` or pipe-friendly: `npx tokens-bruecke -a "$FIGMA_TOKEN" -f --stdout --quiet` Add `--omit-created-at` when the tokens are committed to git: the export timestamp is left out and REST data is sorted by name, so an unchanged file exports to identical output. No REST API / no Enterprise plan — transform a snapshot dumped from the Figma Plugin API: `npx tokens-bruecke --input snapshot.json --output tokens.json` (use `--input -` to read stdin) ## Docs - [Agent skill: CLI usage guide](skills/tokens-bruecke/SKILL.md): flags, auth, config, output layout, exit codes - [README — Use as CLI tool](README.md#use-as-cli-tool): human-oriented CLI documentation - [Config file JSON schema](schemas/cli-options.schema.json): all config options with types, enums, and defaults - [Example config file](examples/cli-options.json): ready-to-copy --config file - [Snapshot JSON schema](schemas/tokens-snapshot.schema.json): input contract for `--input` — raw Figma Plugin API shapes for variables, collections and styles - [Example snapshot](examples/tokens-snapshot.json): ready-to-copy `--input` file ## Optional - [README — full plugin documentation](README.md): Figma plugin UI, push-to-server (GitHub/GitLab/JSONBin), styles support, tokens structure - [CHANGELOG](CHANGELOG.md): release history
