The hairline that connects or separates the parts of a diagram: `hairline` is
`--line`, `strong` steps up to `--line-2` where two bands of a slide genuinely
part company. In this pack a rule is usually structural rather than decorative —
the connector under a staged flow, the baseline of an allocation bar, the split
between a claim and its evidence. On a 720px canvas a rule that is only
decoration costs vertical space the next line of the argument needed.
