{"id":89,"name":"الفجر","transliteration":"Al-Fajr","translation":"The Dawn","type":"meccan","total_verses":30,"verses":[{"id":1,"text":"وَٱلۡفَجۡرِ","translation":"By the dawn","transliteration":"Waalfajri"},{"id":2,"text":"وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٖ","translation":"And [by] ten nights","transliteration":"Walayalin AAashrin"},{"id":3,"text":"وَٱلشَّفۡعِ وَٱلۡوَتۡرِ","translation":"And [by] the even [number] and the odd","transliteration":"WaalshshafAAi waalwatri"},{"id":4,"text":"وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَسۡرِ","translation":"And [by] the night when it passes","transliteration":"Waallayli itha yasri"},{"id":5,"text":"هَلۡ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٞ لِّذِي حِجۡرٍ","translation":"Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception","transliteration":"Hal fee thalika qasamun lithee hijrin"},{"id":6,"text":"أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ","translation":"Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad","transliteration":"Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biAAadin"},{"id":7,"text":"إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ","translation":"[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars","transliteration":"Irama thati alAAimadi"},{"id":8,"text":"ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ","translation":"The likes of whom had never been created in the land","transliteration":"Allatee lam yukhlaq mithluha fee albiladi"},{"id":9,"text":"وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِ","translation":"And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley","transliteration":"Wathamooda allatheena jaboo alssakhra bialwadi"},{"id":10,"text":"وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِي ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ","translation":"And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes","transliteration":"WafirAAawna thee alawtadi"},{"id":11,"text":"ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ","translation":"[All of] whom oppressed within the lands","transliteration":"Allatheena taghaw fee albiladi"},{"id":12,"text":"فَأَكۡثَرُواْ فِيهَا ٱلۡفَسَادَ","translation":"And increased therein the corruption","transliteration":"Faaktharoo feeha alfasada"},{"id":13,"text":"فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍ","translation":"So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment","transliteration":"Fasabba AAalayhim rabbuka sawta AAathabin"},{"id":14,"text":"إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلۡمِرۡصَادِ","translation":"Indeed, your Lord is in observation","transliteration":"Inna rabbaka labialmirsadi"},{"id":15,"text":"فَأَمَّا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكۡرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَكۡرَمَنِ","translation":"And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, \"My Lord has honored me","transliteration":"Faamma alinsanu itha ma ibtalahu rabbuhu faakramahu wanaAAAAamahu fayaqoolu rabbee akramani"},{"id":16,"text":"وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَهَٰنَنِ","translation":"But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, \"My Lord has humiliated me","transliteration":"Waamma itha ma ibtalahu faqadara AAalayhi rizqahu fayaqoolu rabbee ahanani"},{"id":17,"text":"كَلَّاۖ بَل لَّا تُكۡرِمُونَ ٱلۡيَتِيمَ","translation":"No! But you do not honor the orphan","transliteration":"Kalla bal la tukrimoona alyateema"},{"id":18,"text":"وَلَا تَحَـٰٓضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ","translation":"And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor","transliteration":"Wala tahaddoona AAala taAAami almiskeeni"},{"id":19,"text":"وَتَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلتُّرَاثَ أَكۡلٗا لَّمّٗا","translation":"And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether","transliteration":"Watakuloona altturatha aklan lamman"},{"id":20,"text":"وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡمَالَ حُبّٗا جَمّٗا","translation":"And you love wealth with immense love","transliteration":"Watuhibboona almala hubban jamman"},{"id":21,"text":"كَلَّآۖ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ دَكّٗا دَكّٗا","translation":"No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed","transliteration":"Kalla itha dukkati alardu dakkan dakkan"},{"id":22,"text":"وَجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَٱلۡمَلَكُ صَفّٗا صَفّٗا","translation":"And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank","transliteration":"Wajaa rabbuka waalmalaku saffan saffan"},{"id":23,"text":"وَجِاْيٓءَ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّمَۚ يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ","translation":"And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance","transliteration":"Wajeea yawmaithin bijahannama yawmaithin yatathakkaru alinsanu waanna lahu alththikra"},{"id":24,"text":"يَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَيَاتِي","translation":"He will say, \"Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life","transliteration":"Yaqoolu ya laytanee qaddamtu lihayatee"},{"id":25,"text":"فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٞ","translation":"So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment","transliteration":"Fayawmaithin la yuAAaththibu AAathabahu ahadun"},{"id":26,"text":"وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٞ","translation":"And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]","transliteration":"Wala yoothiqu wathaqahu ahadun"},{"id":27,"text":"يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفۡسُ ٱلۡمُطۡمَئِنَّةُ","translation":"[To the righteous it will be said], \"O reassured soul","transliteration":"Ya ayyatuha alnnafsu almutmainnatu"},{"id":28,"text":"ٱرۡجِعِيٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةٗ مَّرۡضِيَّةٗ","translation":"Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]","transliteration":"IrjiAAee ila rabbiki radiyatan mardiyyatan"},{"id":29,"text":"فَٱدۡخُلِي فِي عِبَٰدِي","translation":"And enter among My [righteous] servants","transliteration":"Faodkhulee fee AAibadee"},{"id":30,"text":"وَٱدۡخُلِي جَنَّتِي","translation":"And enter My Paradise","transliteration":"Waodkhulee jannatee"}]}
