{"id":88,"name":"الغاشية","transliteration":"Al-Ghashiyah","translation":"The Overwhelming","type":"meccan","total_verses":26,"verses":[{"id":1,"text":"هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِ","translation":"Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]","transliteration":"Hal ataka hadeethu alghashiyati"},{"id":2,"text":"وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ","translation":"[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled","transliteration":"Wujoohun yawmaithin khashiAAatun"},{"id":3,"text":"عَامِلَةٞ نَّاصِبَةٞ","translation":"Working [hard] and exhausted","transliteration":"AAamilatun nasibatun"},{"id":4,"text":"تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةٗ","translation":"They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire","transliteration":"Tasla naran hamiyatan"},{"id":5,"text":"تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٖ","translation":"They will be given drink from a boiling spring","transliteration":"Tusqa min AAaynin aniyatin"},{"id":6,"text":"لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖ","translation":"For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant","transliteration":"Laysa lahum taAAamun illa min dareeAAin"},{"id":7,"text":"لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِن جُوعٖ","translation":"Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger","transliteration":"La yusminu wala yughnee min jooAAin"},{"id":8,"text":"وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاعِمَةٞ","translation":"[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure","transliteration":"Wujoohun yawmaithin naAAimatun"},{"id":9,"text":"لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٞ","translation":"With their effort [they are] satisfied","transliteration":"LisaAAyiha radiyatun"},{"id":10,"text":"فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ","translation":"In an elevated garden","transliteration":"Fee jannatin AAaliyatin"},{"id":11,"text":"لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةٗ","translation":"Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech","transliteration":"La tasmaAAu feeha laghiyatan"},{"id":12,"text":"فِيهَا عَيۡنٞ جَارِيَةٞ","translation":"Within it is a flowing spring","transliteration":"Feeha AAaynun jariyatun"},{"id":13,"text":"فِيهَا سُرُرٞ مَّرۡفُوعَةٞ","translation":"Within it are couches raised high","transliteration":"Feeha sururun marfooAAatun"},{"id":14,"text":"وَأَكۡوَابٞ مَّوۡضُوعَةٞ","translation":"And cups put in place","transliteration":"Waakwabun mawdooAAatun"},{"id":15,"text":"وَنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوفَةٞ","translation":"And cushions lined up","transliteration":"Wanamariqu masfoofatun"},{"id":16,"text":"وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبۡثُوثَةٌ","translation":"And carpets spread around","transliteration":"Wazarabiyyu mabthoothatun"},{"id":17,"text":"أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِبِلِ كَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ","translation":"Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created","transliteration":"Afala yanthuroona ila alibili kayfa khuliqat"},{"id":18,"text":"وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ","translation":"And at the sky - how it is raised","transliteration":"Waila alssamai kayfa rufiAAat"},{"id":19,"text":"وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ","translation":"And at the mountains - how they are erected","transliteration":"Waila aljibali kayfa nusibat"},{"id":20,"text":"وَإِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ","translation":"And at the earth - how it is spread out","transliteration":"Waila alardi kayfa sutihat"},{"id":21,"text":"فَذَكِّرۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٞ","translation":"So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder","transliteration":"Fathakkir innama anta muthakkirun"},{"id":22,"text":"لَّسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِمُصَيۡطِرٍ","translation":"You are not over them a controller","transliteration":"Lasta AAalayhim bimusaytirin"},{"id":23,"text":"إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ","translation":"However, he who turns away and disbelieves","transliteration":"Illa man tawalla wakafara"},{"id":24,"text":"فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَ","translation":"Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment","transliteration":"FayuAAaththibuhu Allahu alAAathaba alakbara"},{"id":25,"text":"إِنَّ إِلَيۡنَآ إِيَابَهُمۡ","translation":"Indeed, to Us is their return","transliteration":"Inna ilayna iyabahum"},{"id":26,"text":"ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَهُم","translation":"Then indeed, upon Us is their account","transliteration":"Thumma inna AAalayna hisabahum"}]}
