{"id":54,"name":"القمر","transliteration":"Al-Qamar","translation":"The Moon","type":"meccan","total_verses":55,"verses":[{"id":1,"text":"ٱقۡتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلۡقَمَرُ","translation":"The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]","transliteration":"Iqtarabati alssaAAatu wainshaqqa alqamaru"},{"id":2,"text":"وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ ءَايَةٗ يُعۡرِضُواْ وَيَقُولُواْ سِحۡرٞ مُّسۡتَمِرّٞ","translation":"And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, \"Passing magic","transliteration":"Wain yaraw ayatan yuAAridoo wayaqooloo sihrun mustamirrun"},{"id":3,"text":"وَكَذَّبُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۚ وَكُلُّ أَمۡرٖ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ","translation":"And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement","transliteration":"Wakaththaboo waittabaAAoo ahwaahum wakullu amrin mustaqirrun"},{"id":4,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزۡدَجَرٌ","translation":"And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence","transliteration":"Walaqad jaahum mina alanbai ma feehi muzdajarun"},{"id":5,"text":"حِكۡمَةُۢ بَٰلِغَةٞۖ فَمَا تُغۡنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ","translation":"Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them]","transliteration":"Hikmatun balighatun fama tughnee alnnuthuru"},{"id":6,"text":"فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡۘ يَوۡمَ يَدۡعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ نُّكُرٍ","translation":"So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding","transliteration":"Fatawalla AAanhum yawma yadAAu alddaAAi ila shayin nukurin"},{"id":7,"text":"خُشَّعًا أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمۡ جَرَادٞ مُّنتَشِرٞ","translation":"Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading","transliteration":"KhushshaAAan absaruhum yakhrujoona mina alajdathi kaannahum jaradun muntashirun"},{"id":8,"text":"مُّهۡطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِۖ يَقُولُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوۡمٌ عَسِرٞ","translation":"Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, \"This is a difficult Day","transliteration":"MuhtiAAeena ila alddaAAi yaqoolu alkafiroona hatha yawmun AAasirun"},{"id":9,"text":"۞كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجۡنُونٞ وَٱزۡدُجِرَ","translation":"The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, \"A madman,\" and he was repelled","transliteration":"Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin fakaththaboo AAabdana waqaloo majnoonun waizdujira"},{"id":10,"text":"فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّي مَغۡلُوبٞ فَٱنتَصِرۡ","translation":"So he invoked his Lord, \"Indeed, I am overpowered, so help","transliteration":"FadaAAa rabbahu annee maghloobun faintasir"},{"id":11,"text":"فَفَتَحۡنَآ أَبۡوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٖ مُّنۡهَمِرٖ","translation":"Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down","transliteration":"Fafatahna abwaba alssamai bimain munhamirin"},{"id":12,"text":"وَفَجَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ عُيُونٗا فَٱلۡتَقَى ٱلۡمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمۡرٖ قَدۡ قُدِرَ","translation":"And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined","transliteration":"Wafajjarna alarda AAuyoonan failtaqa almao AAala amrin qad qudira"},{"id":13,"text":"وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلۡوَٰحٖ وَدُسُرٖ","translation":"And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails","transliteration":"Wahamalnahu AAala thati alwahin wadusurin"},{"id":14,"text":"تَجۡرِي بِأَعۡيُنِنَا جَزَآءٗ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ","translation":"Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied","transliteration":"Tajree biaAAyunina jazaan liman kana kufira"},{"id":15,"text":"وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَٰهَآ ءَايَةٗ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ","translation":"And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember","transliteration":"Walaqad taraknaha ayatan fahal min muddakirin"},{"id":16,"text":"فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ","translation":"And how [severe] were My punishment and warning","transliteration":"Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri"},{"id":17,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ","translation":"And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember","transliteration":"Walaqad yassarna alqurana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin"},{"id":18,"text":"كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٞ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ","translation":"Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning","transliteration":"Kaththabat AAadun fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri"},{"id":19,"text":"إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيحٗا صَرۡصَرٗا فِي يَوۡمِ نَحۡسٖ مُّسۡتَمِرّٖ","translation":"Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune","transliteration":"Inna arsalna AAalayhim reehan sarsaran fee yawmi nahsin mustamirrin"},{"id":20,"text":"تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٖ مُّنقَعِرٖ","translation":"Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted","transliteration":"TanziAAu alnnasa kaannahum aAAjazu nakhlin munqaAAirin"},{"id":21,"text":"فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ","translation":"And how [severe] were My punishment and warning","transliteration":"Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri"},{"id":22,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ","translation":"And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember","transliteration":"Walaqad yassarna alqurana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin"},{"id":23,"text":"كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ","translation":"Thamud denied the warning","transliteration":"Kaththabat thamoodu bialnnuthuri"},{"id":24,"text":"فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرٗا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدٗا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّفِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٍ","translation":"And said, \"Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness","transliteration":"Faqaloo abasharan minna wahidan nattabiAAuhu inna ithan lafee dalalin wasuAAurin"},{"id":25,"text":"أَءُلۡقِيَ ٱلذِّكۡرُ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۢ بَيۡنِنَا بَلۡ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٞ","translation":"Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar","transliteration":"Aolqiya alththikru AAalayhi min baynina bal huwa kaththabun ashirun"},{"id":26,"text":"سَيَعۡلَمُونَ غَدٗا مَّنِ ٱلۡكَذَّابُ ٱلۡأَشِرُ","translation":"They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar","transliteration":"SayaAAlamoona ghadan mani alkaththabu alashiru"},{"id":27,"text":"إِنَّا مُرۡسِلُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتۡنَةٗ لَّهُمۡ فَٱرۡتَقِبۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ","translation":"Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient","transliteration":"Inna mursiloo alnnaqati fitnatan lahum fairtaqibhum waistabir"},{"id":28,"text":"وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلۡمَآءَ قِسۡمَةُۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ كُلُّ شِرۡبٖ مُّحۡتَضَرٞ","translation":"And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]","transliteration":"Wanabbihum anna almaa qismatun baynahum kullu shirbin muhtadarun"},{"id":29,"text":"فَنَادَوۡاْ صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ","translation":"But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her]","transliteration":"Fanadaw sahibahum fataAAata faAAaqara"},{"id":30,"text":"فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ","translation":"And how [severe] were My punishment and warning","transliteration":"Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri"},{"id":31,"text":"إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَيۡحَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَكَانُواْ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلۡمُحۡتَظِرِ","translation":"Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen","transliteration":"Inna arsalna AAalayhim sayhatan wahidatan fakanoo kahasheemi almuhtathiri"},{"id":32,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ","translation":"And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember","transliteration":"Walaqad yassarna alqurana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin"},{"id":33,"text":"كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطِۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ","translation":"The people of Lot denied the warning","transliteration":"Kaththabat qawmu lootin bialnnuthuri"},{"id":34,"text":"إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٖۖ نَّجَّيۡنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٖ","translation":"Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn","transliteration":"Inna arsalna AAalayhim hasiban illa ala lootin najjaynahum bisaharin"},{"id":35,"text":"نِّعۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَن شَكَرَ","translation":"As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful","transliteration":"NiAAmatan min AAindina kathalika najzee man shakara"},{"id":36,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ أَنذَرَهُم بَطۡشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوۡاْ بِٱلنُّذُرِ","translation":"And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning","transliteration":"Walaqad antharahum batshatana fatamaraw bialnnuthuri"},{"id":37,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيۡفِهِۦ فَطَمَسۡنَآ أَعۡيُنَهُمۡ فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ","translation":"And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], \"Taste My punishment and warning","transliteration":"Walaqad rawadoohu AAan dayfihi fatamasna aAAyunahum fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri"},{"id":38,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ صَبَّحَهُم بُكۡرَةً عَذَابٞ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ","translation":"And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment","transliteration":"Walaqad sabbahahum bukratan AAathabun mustaqirrun"},{"id":39,"text":"فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ","translation":"So taste My punishment and warning","transliteration":"Fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri"},{"id":40,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ","translation":"And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember","transliteration":"Walaqad yassarna alqurana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin"},{"id":41,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ","translation":"And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning","transliteration":"Walaqad jaa ala firAAawna alnnuthuru"},{"id":42,"text":"كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ أَخۡذَ عَزِيزٖ مُّقۡتَدِرٍ","translation":"They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability","transliteration":"Kaththaboo biayatina kulliha faakhathnahum akhtha AAazeezin muqtadirin"},{"id":43,"text":"أَكُفَّارُكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكُمۡ أَمۡ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٞ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ","translation":"Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture","transliteration":"Akuffarukum khayrun min olaikum am lakum baraatun fee alzzuburi"},{"id":44,"text":"أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ نَحۡنُ جَمِيعٞ مُّنتَصِرٞ","translation":"Or do they say, \"We are an assembly supporting [each other]","transliteration":"Am yaqooloona nahnu jameeAAun muntasirun"},{"id":45,"text":"سَيُهۡزَمُ ٱلۡجَمۡعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ","translation":"[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]","transliteration":"Sayuhzamu aljamAAu wayuwalloona alddubura"},{"id":46,"text":"بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوۡعِدُهُمۡ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدۡهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ","translation":"But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter","transliteration":"Bali alssaAAatu mawAAiduhum waalssaAAatu adha waamarru"},{"id":47,"text":"إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٖ","translation":"Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness","transliteration":"Inna almujrimeena fee dalalin wasuAAurin"},{"id":48,"text":"يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَ","translation":"The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], \"Taste the touch of Saqar","transliteration":"Yawma yushaboona fee alnnari AAala wujoohihim thooqoo massa saqara"},{"id":49,"text":"إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٖ","translation":"Indeed, all things We created with predestination","transliteration":"Inna kulla shayin khalaqnahu biqadarin"},{"id":50,"text":"وَمَآ أَمۡرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٞ كَلَمۡحِۭ بِٱلۡبَصَرِ","translation":"And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye","transliteration":"Wama amruna illa wahidatun kalamhin bialbasari"},{"id":51,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشۡيَاعَكُمۡ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ","translation":"And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember","transliteration":"Walaqad ahlakna ashyaAAakum fahal min muddakirin"},{"id":52,"text":"وَكُلُّ شَيۡءٖ فَعَلُوهُ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ","translation":"And everything they did is in written records","transliteration":"Wakullu shayin faAAaloohu fee alzzuburi"},{"id":53,"text":"وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٖ وَكَبِيرٖ مُّسۡتَطَرٌ","translation":"And every small and great [thing] is inscribed","transliteration":"Wakullu sagheerin wakabeerin mustatarun"},{"id":54,"text":"إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَنَهَرٖ","translation":"Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers","transliteration":"Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin wanaharin"},{"id":55,"text":"فِي مَقۡعَدِ صِدۡقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٖ مُّقۡتَدِرِۭ","translation":"In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability","transliteration":"Fee maqAAadi sidqin AAinda maleekin muqtadirin"}]}
