{"id":44,"name":"الدخان","transliteration":"Ad-Dukhan","translation":"The Smoke","type":"meccan","total_verses":59,"verses":[{"id":1,"text":"حمٓ","translation":"Ha, Meem","transliteration":"Hameem"},{"id":2,"text":"وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِينِ","translation":"By the clear Book","transliteration":"Waalkitabi almubeeni"},{"id":3,"text":"إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةٖ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ","translation":"Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind]","transliteration":"Inna anzalnahu fee laylatin mubarakatin inna kunna munthireena"},{"id":4,"text":"فِيهَا يُفۡرَقُ كُلُّ أَمۡرٍ حَكِيمٍ","translation":"On that night is made distinct every precise matter","transliteration":"Feeha yufraqu kullu amrin hakeemin"},{"id":5,"text":"أَمۡرٗا مِّنۡ عِندِنَآۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرۡسِلِينَ","translation":"[Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger]","transliteration":"Amran min AAindina inna kunna mursileena"},{"id":6,"text":"رَحۡمَةٗ مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ","translation":"As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing","transliteration":"Rahmatan min rabbika innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu"},{"id":7,"text":"رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ","translation":"Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them, if you would be certain","transliteration":"Rabbi alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena"},{"id":8,"text":"لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ","translation":"There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers","transliteration":"La ilaha illa huwa yuhyee wayumeetu rabbukum warabbu abaikumu alawwaleena"},{"id":9,"text":"بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ يَلۡعَبُونَ","translation":"But they are in doubt, amusing themselves","transliteration":"Bal hum fee shakkin yalAAaboona"},{"id":10,"text":"فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ يَوۡمَ تَأۡتِي ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٖ مُّبِينٖ","translation":"Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke","transliteration":"Fairtaqib yawma tatee alssamao bidukhanin mubeenin"},{"id":11,"text":"يَغۡشَى ٱلنَّاسَۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ","translation":"Covering the people; this is a painful torment","transliteration":"Yaghsha alnnasa hatha AAathabun aleemun"},{"id":12,"text":"رَّبَّنَا ٱكۡشِفۡ عَنَّا ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤۡمِنُونَ","translation":"[They will say], \"Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers","transliteration":"Rabbana ikshif AAanna alAAathaba inna muminoona"},{"id":13,"text":"أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ وَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ مُّبِينٞ","translation":"How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger","transliteration":"Anna lahumu alththikra waqad jaahum rasoolun mubeenun"},{"id":14,"text":"ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوۡاْ عَنۡهُ وَقَالُواْ مُعَلَّمٞ مَّجۡنُونٌ","translation":"Then they turned away from him and said, \"[He was] taught [and is] a madman","transliteration":"Thumma tawallaw AAanhu waqaloo muAAallamun majnoonun"},{"id":15,"text":"إِنَّا كَاشِفُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابِ قَلِيلًاۚ إِنَّكُمۡ عَآئِدُونَ","translation":"Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief]","transliteration":"Inna kashifoo alAAathabi qaleelan innakum AAaidoona"},{"id":16,"text":"يَوۡمَ نَبۡطِشُ ٱلۡبَطۡشَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰٓ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ","translation":"The Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution","transliteration":"Yawma nabtishu albatshata alkubra inna muntaqimoona"},{"id":17,"text":"۞وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَجَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ كَرِيمٌ","translation":"And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger","transliteration":"Walaqad fatanna qablahum qawma firAAawna wajaahum rasoolun kareemun"},{"id":18,"text":"أَنۡ أَدُّوٓاْ إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ","translation":"[Saying], \"Render to me the servants of Allah. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger","transliteration":"An addoo ilayya AAibada Allahi innee lakum rasoolun ameenun"},{"id":19,"text":"وَأَن لَّا تَعۡلُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّيٓ ءَاتِيكُم بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ","translation":"And [saying], \"Be not haughty with Allah. Indeed, I have come to you with clear authority","transliteration":"Waan la taAAloo AAala Allahi innee ateekum bisultanin mubeenin"},{"id":20,"text":"وَإِنِّي عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمۡ أَن تَرۡجُمُونِ","translation":"And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me","transliteration":"Wainnee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikum an tarjumooni"},{"id":21,"text":"وَإِن لَّمۡ تُؤۡمِنُواْ لِي فَٱعۡتَزِلُونِ","translation":"But if you do not believe me, then leave me alone","transliteration":"Wain lam tuminoo lee faiAAtazilooni"},{"id":22,"text":"فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوۡمٞ مُّجۡرِمُونَ","translation":"And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people","transliteration":"FadaAAa rabbahu anna haolai qawmun mujrimoona"},{"id":23,"text":"فَأَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيۡلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ","translation":"[Allah said], \"Then set out with My servants by night. Indeed, you are to be pursued","transliteration":"Faasri biAAibadee laylan innakum muttabaAAoona"},{"id":24,"text":"وَٱتۡرُكِ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ رَهۡوًاۖ إِنَّهُمۡ جُندٞ مُّغۡرَقُونَ","translation":"And leave the sea in stillness. Indeed, they are an army to be drowned","transliteration":"Waotruki albahra rahwan innahum jundun mughraqoona"},{"id":25,"text":"كَمۡ تَرَكُواْ مِن جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ","translation":"How much they left behind of gardens and springs","transliteration":"Kam tarakoo min jannatin waAAuyoonin"},{"id":26,"text":"وَزُرُوعٖ وَمَقَامٖ كَرِيمٖ","translation":"And crops and noble sites","transliteration":"WazurooAAin wamaqamin kareemin"},{"id":27,"text":"وَنَعۡمَةٖ كَانُواْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهِينَ","translation":"And comfort wherein they were amused","transliteration":"WanaAAmatin kanoo feeha fakiheena"},{"id":28,"text":"كَذَٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَا قَوۡمًا ءَاخَرِينَ","translation":"Thus. And We caused to inherit it another people","transliteration":"Kathalika waawrathnaha qawman akhareena"},{"id":29,"text":"فَمَا بَكَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنظَرِينَ","translation":"And the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved","transliteration":"Fama bakat AAalayhimu alssamao waalardu wama kanoo munthareena"},{"id":30,"text":"وَلَقَدۡ نَجَّيۡنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡمُهِينِ","translation":"And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment","transliteration":"Walaqad najjayna banee israeela mina alAAathabi almuheeni"},{"id":31,"text":"مِن فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ","translation":"From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors","transliteration":"Min firAAawna innahu kana AAaliyan mina almusrifeena"},{"id":32,"text":"وَلَقَدِ ٱخۡتَرۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ","translation":"And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds","transliteration":"Walaqadi ikhtarnahum AAala AAilmin AAala alAAalameena"},{"id":33,"text":"وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَـٰٓؤٞاْ مُّبِينٌ","translation":"And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial","transliteration":"Waataynahum mina alayati ma feehi balaon mubeenun"},{"id":34,"text":"إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ","translation":"Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying","transliteration":"Inna haolai layaqooloona"},{"id":35,"text":"إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوۡتَتُنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ","translation":"There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected","transliteration":"In hiya illa mawtatuna aloola wama nahnu bimunshareena"},{"id":36,"text":"فَأۡتُواْ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ","translation":"Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful","transliteration":"Fatoo biabaina in kuntum sadiqeena"},{"id":37,"text":"أَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ مُجۡرِمِينَ","translation":"Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals","transliteration":"Ahum khayrun am qawmu tubbaAAin waallatheena min qablihim ahlaknahum innahum kanoo mujrimeena"},{"id":38,"text":"وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ","translation":"And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play","transliteration":"Wama khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma laAAibeena"},{"id":39,"text":"مَا خَلَقۡنَٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ","translation":"We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know","transliteration":"Ma khalaqnahuma illa bialhaqqi walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona"},{"id":40,"text":"إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ مِيقَٰتُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ","translation":"Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all","transliteration":"Inna yawma alfasli meeqatuhum ajmaAAeena"},{"id":41,"text":"يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِي مَوۡلًى عَن مَّوۡلٗى شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ","translation":"The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped","transliteration":"Yawma la yughnee mawlan AAan mawlan shayan wala hum yunsaroona"},{"id":42,"text":"إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ","translation":"Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful","transliteration":"Illa man rahima Allahu innahu huwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu"},{"id":43,"text":"إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ ٱلزَّقُّومِ","translation":"Indeed, the tree of zaqqum","transliteration":"Inna shajarata alzzaqqoomi"},{"id":44,"text":"طَعَامُ ٱلۡأَثِيمِ","translation":"Is food for the sinful","transliteration":"TaAAamu alatheemi"},{"id":45,"text":"كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ يَغۡلِي فِي ٱلۡبُطُونِ","translation":"Like murky oil, it boils within bellies","transliteration":"Kaalmuhli yaghlee fee albutooni"},{"id":46,"text":"كَغَلۡيِ ٱلۡحَمِيمِ","translation":"Like the boiling of scalding water","transliteration":"Kaghalyi alhameemi"},{"id":47,"text":"خُذُوهُ فَٱعۡتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ","translation":"[It will be commanded], \"Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire","transliteration":"Khuthoohu faiAAtiloohu ila sawai aljaheemi"},{"id":48,"text":"ثُمَّ صُبُّواْ فَوۡقَ رَأۡسِهِۦ مِنۡ عَذَابِ ٱلۡحَمِيمِ","translation":"Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water","transliteration":"Thumma subboo fawqa rasihi min AAathabi alhameemi"},{"id":49,"text":"ذُقۡ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡكَرِيمُ","translation":"[It will be said], \"Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble","transliteration":"Thuq innaka anta alAAazeezu alkareemu"},{"id":50,"text":"إِنَّ هَٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَمۡتَرُونَ","translation":"Indeed, this is what you used to dispute","transliteration":"Inna hatha ma kuntum bihi tamtaroona"},{"id":51,"text":"إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقَامٍ أَمِينٖ","translation":"Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place","transliteration":"Inna almuttaqeena fee maqamin ameenin"},{"id":52,"text":"فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ","translation":"Within gardens and springs","transliteration":"Fee jannatin waAAuyoonin"},{"id":53,"text":"يَلۡبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسٖ وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ","translation":"Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other","transliteration":"Yalbasoona min sundusin waistabraqin mutaqabileena"},{"id":54,"text":"كَذَٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجۡنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٖ","translation":"Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes","transliteration":"Kathalika wazawwajnahum bihoorin AAeenin"},{"id":55,"text":"يَدۡعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍ ءَامِنِينَ","translation":"They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure","transliteration":"YadAAoona feeha bikulli fakihatin amineena"},{"id":56,"text":"لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِلَّا ٱلۡمَوۡتَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰۖ وَوَقَىٰهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ","translation":"They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire","transliteration":"La yathooqoona feeha almawta illa almawtata aloola wawaqahum AAathaba aljaheemi"},{"id":57,"text":"فَضۡلٗا مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ","translation":"As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment","transliteration":"Fadlan min rabbika thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu"},{"id":58,"text":"فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرۡنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ","translation":"And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded","transliteration":"Fainnama yassarnahu bilisanika laAAallahum yatathakkaroona"},{"id":59,"text":"فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ إِنَّهُم مُّرۡتَقِبُونَ","translation":"So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]","transliteration":"Fairtaqib innahum murtaqiboona"}]}
