# PDF runtime scripts

`worker.py` is the single PDF subprocess entry point. It accepts one JSON object through stdin and returns one JSON object through stdout.

Supported operations: validation, metadata, text/table extraction, merge, page-range split, rotate, text watermark, text overlay, signature/stamp image placement, AcroForm filling, AES-256 encryption/decryption, and PNG rendering.

Passwords are never accepted through command-line arguments. The extension collects them with a masked TUI component and places them only in the worker stdin request. OCR and certificate signing are intentionally excluded.
