# Third-party notices

`pi-word-pdf` source is licensed under the MIT License. Dependencies retain their own licenses and are not relicensed by this project.

## Node runtime dependencies

- Bun `1.3.13` – MIT – <https://bun.sh/>
- bun-docx `0.24.0` – MIT – <https://www.npmjs.com/package/bun-docx>

These are project-local dependencies. Normal plugin startup does not install or update them.

## Pi host APIs

Development and host integration use `@earendil-works/pi-ai`, `@earendil-works/pi-coding-agent`, and `@earendil-works/pi-tui` `0.85.0`. They are optional peer dependencies supplied by Pi and are not bundled in the published package tarball.

## Private Python PDF runtime

Direct versions tested and pinned in `.runtime/python`:

- pypdf `6.16.2` – BSD-3-Clause
- Pillow `12.3.0` – MIT-CMU
- pdfplumber `0.11.10` – MIT
- ReportLab `5.0.1` – BSD-style ReportLab license
- pypdfium2 `5.13.0` – BSD-3-Clause / Apache-2.0 plus bundled PDFium dependency licenses
- cryptography `50.0.1` – Apache-2.0 OR BSD-3-Clause

Transitive packages installed by the tested dependency set include pdfminer.six `20260107` (MIT), cffi `2.1.1` (MIT-0), charset-normalizer `3.5.1` (MIT), and pycparser `3.0` (BSD-3-Clause). Authoritative license files remain in each installed distribution's metadata.

The private runtime is created only after explicit confirmation and is excluded from the npm package and Git.

## Prior-art review

`@joemccann/pi-pdf` `1.0.1` (MIT) was reviewed as prior art. This project uses a separate Windows-first implementation and does not copy its hardcoded `python3`, shell command, legacy import, or Helvetica-only assumptions.
