### Fixed
- **`/hide-messages N` now persists permanently.** The previous write target
  (`~/.pi/agent/extensions/pi-transcript-window/config.json`) often did not
  exist for npm/git/`-e` installs, so `writeFileSync` failed with ENOENT and
  the tuned count only applied to the current session. The global config
  directory is now created on demand, and the value is written to the config
  file that actually drives the effective default (project config when
  present, otherwise global). Failed writes now report the target path.
- Added config-store regression tests covering directory creation, key
  preservation, reload persistence, and project-override precedence.

- **pi 0.84+ support**: patch `renderSessionEntries` instead of the removed `renderSessionContext`.
- **`/window` command**: limit how many recent tool outputs `ctrl+o` expands (`/window 30`), or disable the limit (`/window off`). Independent from message hiding.

- Renamed package to `pi-transcript-window` (fork of `pi-hide-messages`).
- Default `defaultVisibleCount` is now 50.
