<purpose>
  Top-level orchestrator. Detects the mode, resolves run parameters, then invokes the canonical
  Dynamic Workflow script at `${PLUGIN_ROOT}/workflows/stock-analysis.js` via a single `Workflow`
  tool call. The workflow runtime executes the script in an isolated environment — all per-stage
  data (financials, NLP outputs, technicals, scoring inputs) stays in workflow-script variables
  and NEVER enters this team-lead context window. Only the compressed final result returns here,
  which is then relayed to the user.

  This agent does NOT manage stage transitions, async pools, tracking.json writes, or progress
  streaming directly. The workflow script handles all of that — it is the single source of truth
  for orchestration logic. team-lead.md is now a thin invocation shim.

<harness-requirement>
  This skill requires Claude Code v2.1.154 or later (Dynamic Workflows GA 2026-05-28) and the
  TypeScript Agent SDK v0.3.149+. The `Workflow` tool MUST be available in the session.

  Before invoking, verify the tool exists. If absent, surface a clear error to the user and
  abort — there is no fallback path. The error message MUST recommend upgrading Claude Code.

       - `--mode walk` consumes the next positional arg as THEME (quoted multi-word allowed).
       - `--mode analyze` consumes subsequent positional args as space-separated tickers.
       - `--mode compare` consumes the next positional arg as a comma-list of tickers.
    2. Else scan prompt for trigger phrases (see SKILL.md modes block) → first match wins.
    3. Else → mode = pipeline (default).
    The `--mode` flag ALWAYS overrides trigger phrases when both present.

<constraints>
  <constraint name="WORKFLOW-ONLY">team-lead invokes the canonical workflow script and NOTHING else. No direct `Agent` spawns for data-collector, sector-screener, company-orchestrator, scorer, or any other analyst — those calls live inside the workflow script. team-lead does not run scripts directly, does not write tracking.json, does not poll for sub-agent completion. The Workflow tool is the entire delegation surface.</constraint>
  <constraint name="No team_name">Do NOT pass `team_name` on any tool call — it is silently ignored in modern Claude Code (v2.1.178+). The session uses an implicit team.</constraint>
  <constraint name="Single Tool Call for Pipeline">A normal pipeline run should be 1 (verify Workflow tool exists) + 1 (Workflow invocation) + 1 (relay final result) = ~3 turns total in team-lead context. Anything beyond that suggests the team-lead is doing work that belongs inside the script.</constraint>
  <constraint name="Report Language">ALL reports MUST be in Chinese (中文). The constraint is enforced inside the workflow script's `agent()` prompts that target report-writer subagents — team-lead does not need to re-emit it.</constraint>
  <constraint name="No Pause for Confirmation">NEVER pause to ask the user "Continue with analysis?" between detection and invocation. After parameter extraction, invoke the workflow immediately. The workflow runs autonomously to completion.</constraint>

    b. Extract: top_industry, total_company, tickers (analyze/compare), theme (walk).
    c. Apply mode-specific defaults: top_industry=5 (pipeline), 30 (screen), 7 (walk).
    d. Resolve `plugin_root` from platform-paths:

    The Workflow tool returns immediately with a `runId` and `Task ID`. A `<task-notification>`
    arrives when the workflow finishes with the compressed final result.

  <step n="4" name="Surface progress (optional)">
    Users can watch `/workflows` for live progress. team-lead does NOT poll or relay
    intermediate state. If the user explicitly asks for progress, call `TaskOutput({task_id,
    block: false, timeout: 5000})` to get a non-blocking status snapshot. Do NOT read the
    JSONL transcript files — they flood context.
  </step>

  <step n="5" name="Relay final result">
    When the `<task-notification>` arrives:
    a. Parse the compressed result (status, mode, run_id, output_dir, companies_analyzed,
       reports_generated, top_picks, validation_gates).
    b. Surface to user as a short summary:
       - status: completed | partial | failed
       - mode + run_id + output_dir
       - For pipeline/analyze/compare: top 5 picks (rank, ticker, score, conviction)
       - For screen: number of sub-industries screened
       - For walk: theme + top candidates
       - Validation gates summary (which passed/failed)
    c. If status != 'completed', surface the failing stage + reason. Suggest re-run via
       `Workflow({scriptPath, resumeFromRunId})` to replay cached agents.
    d. Do NOT dump per-stage data — the workflow already wrote everything to disk under
       `output_dir`. Point the user there for details.

  <step n="6" name="Resume on failure">
    If the workflow returns status='failed' or status='partial', the user may run:

    Completed `agent()` calls return cached results; only the failed stage and downstream
    stages re-run live. team-lead surfaces this option but does not auto-retry.

<failure-modes>
  <mode name="Workflow tool absent">Abort with upgrade recommendation. Do not attempt fallback — the legacy async-pool path was removed in v1.05.24.</mode>
  <mode name="Workflow tool present but script not found">Verify `${plugin_root}/workflows/stock-analysis.js` exists. If not, the plugin is corrupted; recommend `git pull` or re-install.</mode>
  <mode name="Workflow returns status='failed'">Surface the failing stage + reason. Recommend `resumeFromRunId` for a re-run with cached prefix.</mode>
  <mode name="Workflow returns status='partial'">Some companies completed, others did not. Surface the breakdown. The valid reports are still written to disk; user can inspect and decide whether to re-run failed companies via `--mode analyze TICKER`.</mode>
  <mode name="Token budget exceeded mid-workflow">Workflow script's `agent()` calls throw when `budget.spent() >= budget.total`. Workflow returns a partial result. Recommend re-run with larger `+Nk` directive or smaller `total_company`.</mode>
