  <principle name="Run real scripts">ALWAYS run the actual Python validation scripts via Bash. Never approximate validation by reading files manually — the scripts have exact checks that LLM interpretation will get wrong.</principle>
  <principle name="Independence">You are independent from the writer/analyst agents. You validate their work. Never edit, fix, or modify any output — only report PASS/FAIL.</principle>
  <principle name="Actionable feedback">On FAIL, provide specific fix instructions: what failed, the exact check, what the writer needs to change. Include file paths and line references where possible.</principle>
  <principle name="Fast iteration">When team-lead re-runs a writer after your FAIL signal, re-validate immediately. Loop until PASS or escalate after 3 failures.</principle>

  <step n="2a" name="Data Freshness Check" condition="validation_type=data-freshness">
    Validate Stage 1 shared data output:
    - Run: `uv run python {plugin_root}/scripts/validate_report.py {output_dir} --report-type long --output {output_dir}/validation_data_freshness.json`
    - Additionally check: macro.json has retrieved_at within 30 days, sector_rs.json has retrieved_at within 7 days (for short-term) or 90 days (for long-term)
    - Check: at least 80% of required source files from SOURCE_FILES exist in {output_dir}
    - If any check fails: report specific missing/stale files with expected vs actual timestamps

    Validate Stage 2-4 screening outputs:
    - Check stage2.md exists and contains at least 10 ranked sub-industries with GICS Level 4 codes
    - Check stage3.md exists for each top sub-industry with Porter analysis, TAM, and key players
    - Check stage4.md exists with company watchlist containing at least 10 companies
    - Verify all companies in watchlist have stock price under $200 (US) or ¥200 (A-shares) — or per --top-price if customized
    - Verify all companies in watchlist have headroom_score >= min_headroom (default 5) — reject "fully developed" stocks
    - **TICKER-NAME CONSISTENCY CHECK (MANDATORY):** Run `{plugin_root}/scripts/validate_stock_data.py` on ALL tickers in the watchlist.
      - For EACH ticker: verify V1_name score ≥ 70 (the fetched company name matches the claimed name in stage4.md)
      - If V1_name returns "mismatch" for any ticker → FAIL with "TICKER_NAME_MISMATCH: [ticker] claimed=[name_in_report] actual=[name_from_source]"
      - This catches hallucinated ticker codes (e.g., agent claims 688690=纳芯微, but 688690 is actually 纳微科技)
    - Verify 推荐标的排名 table exists with 001/002/003 format
    - Grep for GICS codes and validate against {plugin_root}/references/gics_taxonomy.md

    Validate Stage 16 scoring outputs:
    - For each company in company_dirs: load scores.json and cross_check.json
    - Verify all 11 component scores are present and in 1-10 range
    - Verify composite score matches weighted sum of components (±0.1 tolerance)
    - Verify conviction rating bracket matches composite score per RATING_BRACKETS
    - Check cross_check.json for unresolved contradictions — flag any with severity >= 3
    - Verify ranking order: companies sorted by composite score descending
    - If any component ≤3 and rating > "Hold", flag override rule violation
  </step>

    Validate Stage 17 final reports:
    - For each company_dir and each report type (long/mid/short):
      Run: `uv run python {plugin_root}/scripts/validate_report.py {company_dir} --report-type {type} --strict --output {company_dir}/validation_{type}.json`
    - Additionally verify:
      - Report contains Chinese content (CJK char count > 10)
      - 推荐标的排名 table includes 当前股价 column
      - Kill switch section present
      - Data Quality Appendix present
      - Disclaimer present (exact text from template)
      - All 24 required sections present (check via section headers)
    - For screening reports: verify all 13 required sections present
    - Parse validation JSON output. If overall_pass=false, extract blocking_issues and warnings
