# Changelog

## [0.1.77] - 2026-11-03

- Use separate startup notes for Pi 1.5. Bundle notices now cover only changes
affecting every extension, instead of displaying the mixed release history ([#143](https://github.com/tmustier/pi-extensions/pull/143)).

## [0.1.76] - 2026-11-03

### Changed
- Include usage 0.10.2, which opens `/usage` faster.
- Include files-widget 0.2.4. In git repositories, `/readfiles` loads git information in the background instead of freezing Pi, and the tree is ready sooner.

### Fixed
- Files-widget 0.2.4 shows git status for renamed files and for files with spaces or non-ASCII names, stops background work when the browser closes, and keeps a confirmed search so `n` and `N` work.
- Include arcade 0.1.8, which fixes Tetris input while rows clear and sPIce Invaders lock-ups after reopening during the boss intro or entering the cheat after game over.
- Include Ralph 0.2.5, which runs the final iteration before completing the loop, keeps one active loop per session, and copes with Pi retrying a failed request. Its stop banner is now a message, not a prompt to the model.

## [0.1.75] - 2026-11-02

### Fixed
- Include session recap 0.6.1, which draws recaps on OpenCode and OpenCode Go models again. Thanks to @mtford90 for the report.

## [0.1.74] - 2026-10-28

### Fixed
- Include files-widget 0.2.3, which renders Markdown with `glow` again, so Markdown files no longer always open raw and `m` switches between the rendered and raw views. Thanks to @ackalker for the report.

## [0.1.73] - 2026-10-28

### Changed
- Include session recap 0.6.0, which saves each recap in the session and shows a still-current saved recap at once when the session is reopened, with no model call.

### Fixed
- Include files-widget 0.2.2, which suggests `brew install` only on macOS when `bat`, `delta`, or `glow` is missing and points other systems to the README. Thanks to @curious2improve for the report.
- Include usage 0.10.1, which reads sessions from the directory Pi uses, including a custom `--session-dir`, `PI_CODING_AGENT_SESSION_DIR`, or `sessionDir` setting. Thanks to @JeremieAlcaraz for the report.

## [0.1.72] - 2026-10-28

### Fixed
- Include session recap 0.5.5, which draws a recap in a session larger than the recap model's context window. Before, the recap was capped at 1 token and nothing was shown. Thanks to @ferologics for the report and fix.
- Session recap 0.5.5 also sends the recap to the endpoint that comes with the login, so recaps no longer fail with a 401 on a GitHub Copilot enterprise account. Thanks to @gambtho for the report and fix.

## [0.1.71] - 2026-10-27

### Fixed
- Include session recap 0.5.4, which stops sending Pi's system prompt and tools with each recap. Recaps on an Anthropic subscription failed with a 400 once the account had no extra usage left. Thanks to @ferologics for the report.

### Changed
- Session recap 0.5.4 drafts recaps with Claude Haiku 5.5 and GPT-6 Luna.

## [0.1.70] - 2026-10-26

### Changed
- Simplify extending-pi 0.1.3 to mechanism selection, installed documentation and checking public extension capabilities before proposing a core patch.

### Removed
- Retire the bundled skill-creator skill, its validator and tests.

## [0.1.69] - 2026-10-26

### Changed
- Include session recap 0.5.3, which draws a recap when a session is reopened from the command line (`pi -c`, `pi -r`, `pi --session <file>`), not only on `/resume`.

## [0.1.68] - 2026-10-26

### Changed
- Include session recap 0.5.2, tab status 0.1.6, and usage 0.10.0.
- Usage adds a This Month period and collapses Windows home directories in project labels.
- Session recap no longer renders a failed, aborted, or token-capped response as a recap, and reports failures through the UI instead of the console.
- Tab status ignores a stale context after session replacement instead of raising an extension error.

## [0.1.67] - 2026-09-22

### Changed
- Update the root package and bundled extensions for Pi 0.87.0, including current session projection, lifecycle, component, keybinding, and notification contracts.
- Declare Pi's bundled `typebox` as a peer and pin 1.3.27 for local development instead of installing a separate runtime copy.
- Include compatibility releases for arcade 0.1.7, code actions 0.1.6, files widget 0.2.1, Ralph Wiggum 0.2.4, session recap 0.5.1, tab status 0.1.5, usage 0.9.5, and weather 0.1.3.

## [0.1.66] - 2026-08-14

### Changed
- Bundle `@tmustier/pi-session-recap` 0.5.0. Fullscreen recaps now appear as temporary transcript content, scroll naturally with the conversation, and disappear when work resumes. Regular mode keeps the existing above-editor placement.

## [0.1.65] - 2026-08-10

### Fixed
- `session-recap` 0.4.2: force reasoning off for Codex recap models. `completeSimple` cannot express "off", and openai-codex-responses sends no reasoning field when none is requested, so recaps inherited the server-side default effort. Those models now go through `complete` with an explicit `reasoningEffort: "none"`; every other API keeps disabling thinking by omission.

## [0.1.61] - 2026-07-22

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.9.4: radically simplified nested-agent reconciliation — scanned child session files are trusted as the record and matching parent aggregates are skipped via a file-existence check, replacing 0.9.3's exact vector matching. Byte-identical totals on the validation corpus; cache stays v5 with no rebuild.

## [0.1.60] - 2026-07-22

### Fixed
- `usage-extension` 0.9.3: reconcile nested-agent tool reports with recursively scanned child sessions using exact token-and-cost vectors, count only unmatched aggregate residuals, and backfill legacy child reports only when no scanned child span represents them. Cache format v5 performs a one-off rebuild.

## [0.1.59] - 2026-07-21

### Fixed
- `usage-extension` 0.9.2: include Pi 0.81.0 tool, compaction, and branch-summary usage in cost/token totals under `Tools / summaries`, without inflating assistant-message counts or conversation cache insights. Cache format v4 performs a one-off rebuild.

## [0.1.58] - 2026-07-21

### Changed
- Bundle `@tmustier/pi-ralph-wiggum` 0.2.3, which binds loops to their owning Pi session and documents how iterations share a session and use normal compaction. Thanks to @juicetin for the fix and regression test ([#50](https://github.com/tmustier/pi-extensions/issues/50), [#52](https://github.com/tmustier/pi-extensions/pull/52)), and to @rhossack and @RichardScottOZ for prompting the documentation clarification ([#46](https://github.com/tmustier/pi-extensions/issues/46)).
- Bundle `@tmustier/pi-session-recap` 0.2.2, which silently skips unsupported runtime-only custom API handlers instead of logging a recap failure. Thanks to @timvdhoorn for reporting and fixing the custom-provider failure ([#81](https://github.com/tmustier/pi-extensions/pull/81)).
- Exclude nested development `node_modules` trees from the root npm package and document pre-publish tarball inspection.

### Removed
- Remove the retired Tessl `skill-review-and-optimize` workflows. They had no configured Tessl token, reported authentication failures as successful checks, and could no longer provide useful skill review or optimization feedback.

Thanks to @popey for the advance retirement notice ([#48](https://github.com/tmustier/pi-extensions/issues/48)).

## [0.1.57] - 2026-07-17

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.9.1: exports save to `/tmp` by default (full path shown in the confirmation note), with a configurable `exportDir` under the `usage-extension` key in settings.json.

## [0.1.56] - 2026-07-17

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.9.0: Graphs-first default view with a visible view strip, `[e]` export from every view (CSV/JSON), table filtering (`/` filter, `x` hide, `a` reset) with slice-aware totals and exports, refreshed README screenshots.

## [0.1.55] - 2026-07-17

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.8.1: all “Worth attention” alarms lead with dollars (share in the parenthetical); “Where it went” keeps percentages.

## [0.1.54] - 2026-07-17

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.8.0: cache-miss taxonomy split (resume after break / model switch / prefix change), facts-first section order, and pi test providers (`faux-provider`, `fake-provider`) excluded from all stats.

## [0.1.53] - 2026-07-17

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.7.2: insights view polish — sectioned headers with rules, warning-coloured alarms, plain-language copy, 100-column content cap, and an explicit all-clear state.

## [0.1.52] - 2026-07-17

### Added
- `usage-extension` 0.7.1: descriptive loading messages with a live file counter — first-time build, cache-format rebuild, and incremental “updating since \<date>” states.

## [0.1.51] - 2026-07-17

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.7.0: insights view redesigned around materiality — conditional "Worth attention" alarms (TTL cache re-warm tax, prefix-change misses, session concentration, upfront tax, cache-leverage floor) plus always-on "Where it went" lenses (context tax, project mix, reasoning share, burn trend). Cache format v3 (one-off rebuild on first open).

## [0.1.50] - 2026-07-17

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.6.1: graph lines are clipped to each series' active range, removing flat zero/flat tails for late-starting or retired providers/models/thinking levels.

## [0.1.49] - 2026-07-17

### Added
- `usage-extension` 0.6.0: interactive graph explorer view (cost/tokens/messages/reasoning over time, grouped by provider/model/thinking level, cumulative or per-bucket, with legend filtering). Cache format bumped to v2. See `usage-extension/CHANGELOG.md`.

## [0.1.48] - 2026-07-17

### Added
- `usage-extension` 0.5.0: new Last 30 Days period tab (rolling 30 calendar days including today).

## [0.1.47] - 2026-07-17

### Changed
- `usage-extension` 0.4.0: `/usage` now caches per-file extraction results on disk and pre-filters session JSONL at the byte level before JSON-parsing. Warm opens drop from ~17 s to ~0.3 s on a 5.2 GB session corpus. See `usage-extension/CHANGELOG.md`.

## [0.1.42] - 2026-05-13

### Changed
- Refresh `extending-pi` and nested `skill-creator` guidance for current Pi docs, extension-first customization, and Agent Skills terminology.

## [0.1.40] - 2026-05-07

### Changed
- Declare `@earendil-works` Pi peer and development dependencies for the bundled extensions.
