## Validation: pin-auto-watch-env

Validation performed in the main session (sub-agent dispatch unavailable in this execution context; per-schema fallback applied). Documentation accessed via live fetches: Context7 was unavailable (no API key), so the web-fetch fallback order was followed.

### Task groups by technology

**Group A — Bun test runner (`bun test`, `bun:test`) — tasks 2.1, 2.2**

- `bun test` runs `*.test.ts` files and supports the Jest-like API (`it`, `expect`, `.toBe`) used by this repo's tests. Source: https://bun.com/docs/cli/test — **valid**.
- The new tests in 2.1 use no API beyond `it`/`expect`/`toBe` and the repo's existing spawn-a-bun-child-and-echo-env pattern (already proven in `runner.test.ts`'s `CGC_OUTPUT_FORMAT` test). No new API surface. — **valid**.

**Group B — Node.js `child_process.spawn` environment (`node:child_process`) — tasks 1.1, 2.1**

- `spawn(command, args, { env })` sets the child's environment; `env` is a plain object map and merging over a spread copy (`{ ...env, KEY: 'false' }`) is the documented way to inherit-with-override. Source: https://nodejs.org/api/child_process.html#optionsenv — **valid**.
- The pin targets the runner's existing `childEnv()` construction, which already builds the options object passed to `spawn` (runner.ts:658-660 passes `env: this.childEnv(options.env)`). No new API. — **valid**.

**Group C — TypeScript / Biome CLI (`tsc --noEmit`, `biome check`) — task 2.2**

- `bunx tsc --noEmit` and `bunx biome check` are the repo's existing gate commands (used by prior changes in this repository); `--noEmit` type-checks without emitting and `biome check` lints/formats. Standard CLI flags, no version-sensitive APIs introduced by this change. — **valid**.

**Group D — OpenSpec CLI (`openspec validate ... --strict`) — task 3.1**

- `openspec validate pin-auto-watch-env --type change --strict` is the documented strict-change validation command and was executed successfully during artifact creation ("Change 'pin-auto-watch-env' is valid"). — **valid**.

### Cross-cutting findings

- None. All tasks operate on patterns already established in this repository; no task references an invalid API, flag, or environment variable.

### Verdict

All tasks validated against live documentation. No invalid findings; apply may proceed.
