# Changelog

## 1.1.0-rc.1

First release candidate of the Claude Code-style tool rendering. All changes
below are new in this release (nothing shipped before — this is the initial
publish).

- Status dots: gray while running, green on success, red on error.
- **Assistant messages** get a leading white circle (●).
- **Update()** renders every diff hunk as its own block — multiple changes in
  one file are all shown, never folded. Deleted lines are red; added lines are
  bright green and bold; context lines are gray.
- Only Update() shows a diff — Bash/Read/Write stay one-line summaries.
- Bash shows up to 20 lines by default with a `… +N more (ctrl+o to expand)`
  hint; ctrl+o expands to the full output.
- Fix: no `●` prefix flicker on assistant replies that open a code fence while
  streaming (mid-fence backtick frames are left alone).
- The assistant dot transformer is idempotent — the dot never stacks, and
  thinking blocks / user messages pass through untouched.
- **Unit tests** (`npm test`) for the dot transformer, extracted into
  `markdown.ts` as a pure, pi-independent function.
